So I'm getting started on building a villianous lair with a volcano, and dungeons, and a mad science lab, and a superweapon, and underwater domes, and an evil councilroom, and all the essentials. A big imposing façade with lava falls and a lava moat. Utilitarian millitary paremeter with watch towers. Spooky forests. Not a lot of living greenery. You know the drill. Problem is, I don't have a good texture pack to use for it. Dekucraft_Dark and Mythos are certainly evil enough, but they're too mediæval. I need something more modern, on account of this being the lair of a supervillian or Bond villian and not an vampire or evil sourceror. Also, both of those packs have healthy, green trees and grass, which really kills the evil mood. Its mellowing my harsh.
Depending on the pack I might also add an evil computer center.
You seem to know your stuff about evil villains; slightly shadey :tongue.gif:.
Ontopic: I haven't got a clue really, since your map seems to be so futuristic (compared to the theme of minecraft), the chance of you finding a pack that fits your needs exactly is very slim, I'd suggest creating your own texture pack, or just look around and collect textures from other texture packs and putting them all together (note: you'd need to give credits to all of them, if you're releasing the map)
I don't really know how to make a map pack. Is there some kind of editor that lets me edit each pack individually? I tried just using gimp, but I got overwhelmed and confused by all the different textures.
