I've been working on a texture pack of my own, as yet unnamed and nowhere near complete and would like to have a candle instead of a torch.
So I created this candle:
However when it renders in the game it comes out like this:
You'll notice at this angle there is some sort of overhanging parts of the candle (where it is most noticeable at the base), what I'd like to happen is for the candle to be perfectly square from all angles so that there is no overhanging bits , but not sure how I have to alter my candle to accomplish this. If I make it thinner then it looks like it's short on the square, add more pixels to the side and it gets the overhang.
I know that I've seen some torches that overhand by about 2 or more pixels and I've seen others that seem to appear to be perfectly square with no overhang.
Thanks, I tried that but it didn't work right when I first tried it, it then came out too short in width and left a gap, however now that I tried it again, this time I removed the one pixel width from the opposite side that I tried it before on and now it's a perfect square all lined up and looking pretty.
Thanks for the push, I would not have tried it again otherwise.
Can somebody tell me where the fire element to the torches are store? In what file is the fire on the torch kept?
Also, is it possible to move the fire element so that it appears lower on the torch?
Reason being that this image of a candle that I made is just too tall, so I'd like to shorten it but it would look stupid if the candle is half height and the fire element stays in the same place as to where it is now.
