Ever felt that MineCraft was missing something? new armor? more food variants? Or more animals? Well this pack adds none of those... but what it does add is all four seasons, Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.
All plants, trees, crops... everything is affected by the bright blossoming colors of spring, turns to a lushes green in the summer then slowly wilts away in the fall, and freezes in the winter.
I decided to make this pack after trying to find one myself but there was next to none... and the ones that did exist, didn't really bring the full capabilities that the seasons have to offer. I really wanted to see everything as far as sugar cane and potatoes change through the seasons, so I made my own texture pack.
At first being completely new to making resource/texture packs I started off using the default textures, but realizing that altering them and re-releasing them was against the rules. I dedicated some time to completely start from scratch. My main goal was to try and keep the style and color as similar to the default textures so that it blends nicely with the rest of the game.
Making this pack was a lot of fun for my first time(twss) and I'm pretty satisfied with what I've accomplished so far and also note that I will be adding a few more features to this pack which you can see in the 'future planned' spoiler of whats to come. I hope that many of you will enjoy this pack as much as I did making it. In addition I've made this pack to maybe help bring adventure maps to life.
Full in depth list of Features and Changes:
-Red and Pink Tulips are now textured to look like a bunch of flowers, White and orange stay singular
-White tulips are yellow, as there's a few too many white flowers
-Dandelions also are bunched in groups
-Poppies, Blue Orchids, Azure Bluets, Allium, Oxeye Daisies re-textured, along with all other flowers
-Brown and Red mushrooms now are bunched in couples
-Ferns, Tall Grass, and their double block variants re-textured
-All crops including pumpkins, melons and jack o lanterns re-textured
-Farm land blocks re-textured
-All biomes are affected by the seasons (deserts are too but since they contain almost no plants excluding cactus, village crops and sugar cane, there's no huge change)
-Oak trees, birch trees, jungle trees bloom with flowers. Vines and waterlily's also bloom their own flowers
-Grass blocks brighten up with a green-blue color
-Flowers bloom with color
-Oak, birch and jungle saplings also appear to bloom with flowers
-Sugar cane brighten up a little
-Farm land blocks sprout weed/crop buds when wet
-Blossoms disappear off tree leaves, vines and waterlily's
-Leaves darken up, along with grass blocks, tall grass, ferns, vines
-Dandelions change to their stupid white fluffy state that sticks to your clothes
-Saplings darken up in color
-Spruce trees dry out and brown, including in sapling form
-Sugar cane darkens very little
-Oak trees turn red
-Birch trees turn yellow
-Dark oak trees turn orange, same with Acacia but a more yellow orange
-Spruce trees turn green again
-Jungle, and acacia leaves turn a little orangey-brown
-Saplings match their leave block colors
-Vines, waterlily's, sugar cane, flowers, tall grass, ferns, crops wilt in color(they brown up)
-Flowers close up their pedals...best way to describe it
-Grass blocks brown up as well
-Dandelions come back (yellow) and start their annoying breeding process again as they do sometimes....
-Mushrooms change in color just for fun really, just to bring different atmosphere feels
-All leaves excluding spruce leaves, turn white
-Spruce leaves turn green-blue and get dusted with snow
-Flowers including double block flowers, ferns and tall grass get frosty white
-Sugar cane turns icy blue
-Vines and water lily's also get frosty white
-Crops get frosty and freeze, but they still grow.... don't ask how, it's just magic
-Farm land blocks contain frozen pockets of moisture/water
-Water melon and pumpkins(including jack o lanterns) get covered in snow
-Saplings leaves turn white
-Grass blocks turn white/covered in snow
-Mushrooms change again, just for giggles brown mushrooms turn purple (will probably change this)
Future changes/planned changes:
-Cocoa beans will be affected by the seasons
-Melon and pumpkin stems will be affected
-Cacti will bloom flowers in spring
-May re-texture food
-May re-texture mossy cobble stone blocks to have some frosted effects in winter
-Podzol, mycelium, soul sand, netherwartz may get re-textured and go through seasonal changes
-Mushroom blocks also may get retextured for seasonal effects
-May tweak Water melon texture and sun flowers
-Mobs may freeze to death in the winter
-May change still water textures to look frozen or contain ice chunks
-Wet farm land blocks in spring will have the sprouting crops/weeds changed, may remove this
-Tweaks and changes to color of several plants, may tweak some textures themselves
-Will figure a way to make it not ugly as crap when playing with fast graphic settings on
Beta V2 Changelog:

When optifine is released for 1.13 I will be sure to release this pack for 1.13 as soon as its ready:
- Re-textured grasspath/cobble path
- Added another lily pad variant (will prob add few more)
- Re-textured potatoes, carrots, watermelon slice, wheat, beetroot, golden carrots, apple
- Re-textured Hay Bale to match wheat item and wheat crop
- Sea grass and tall sea grass go through seasonal changes (currently only going to be available in the "short" seasons version, until I find a more effective method than having a 76million pixel in height png file.... lmao)
- Re-textured dead bush
- Added rare heart carved in log variant on oak trees
- Carved pumpkin texture added
- Re-texture kelp plant Done
- More flower variants Done
- More lily pad variants/shades Done
- May add a "3d" flower on lily pads Done
- Custom item: renaming the clock to something along the lines of "season clock" will create a clock that tells you the current season
- More dead bush variants/shades Done
- May add more oak log variants such as stripped bark spots n such Done
- Find a method to animate the animated sea grass into different seasons that doesn't involve 7680pixels (short) 1,280,000pixels (long) 76,800,000pixels (verylong) png files for them to fit the timing in conjunction to the seasons.....

What you can do:
- Use it in videos and/or streams, provide a link to this thread
- Use for releasing adventure maps or servers and even sharing with others, provide a link back to this thread
- Alter/add textures for your own personal in-game experience. (If you want to suggest a change or submit a change to me so I can release it with future updates than that is fine)
What you can NOT do:
- Re-release this texture pack and/or claiming it as your own
- Releasing it with any ads or sites that would make you money
Note: If you still haven't downloaded and installed optifine, please do as some of the custom colors require it. Also recommend for better experience, use a shaders pack, which having optifine shouldnt be too much to handle.
I apologize for those who do not have a decent or beefy computer that may not be able to play with a shaders pack, but I've tested to make it look nice with just standard optifine installed. Please also play with fancy graphics settings on, will attempt to fix the looks of the leaf textures when playing on fast.
If anyone who is experienced in making resource/texture packs and would like to contribute in fixing any little issues and to be credited in production of future updates, please pm me.
I want to try and allow less beefy computers to play with this resource pack with as much beauty as possible.
Just surpassed 150 downloads wow, thankyou for your interest to check it out and play with it would love to hear feedback... in other words because I've had some free time, and that people seem to like what they see and download too get a better look, I have a sneak peek of something that may come, along with some more features to the default textures.
Version 2.1 available! Its a small update but with getting close to a full release theres fewer things to add. Added seasonal changes and re-textured mushroom blocks, mycelium, podzol and tweaked grass path (dirt portion/side texture) slightly.
Currently updating textures and texture names to 1.13...(they renamed alot of .png file names like "reeds.png" to "sugar_cane.png". Makes sense, but had to go through all the textures and re adjust their names....) Of course this 1.13 pack won't be available until optifine is update so that the custom colors will work. So feel free to enjoy the beauty of version 2.1 of the pack
Also adding seasonal effects to all the under water stuff cause it would be a interestingly beautiful aspect and ideas to create/build under water... here are pictures of the seagrass finished...(sort of... may tweak individual frames to make the texture flow smoother) Not the best of pictures, but just a rough look at the color scheme in the underwater view. Note only seagrass has been changed....
