I've updated most of my own textures to 1.13, and some of them to 1.14. They are also based of off Painterly, but there are a lot of new items, so it's taking quite a while. I also have no idea how to go about updating to the new horse models.
Cool stuff! One of the hardest things about updating is letting go of old texture packs. Especially since my all time favorite was a custom combination of painterly with resources nicked from my favorite custom maps.
Sad to hear this is now discontinued. I'd love to help continue it, however I don't think I have the skills to be able to make them in the same style! >.<
Oh well, I'll keep watch of this thread to see if anyone takes over to continue it.

I did those stupid horse textures. Why was the model changend, anyway?
I just need to make coral, dried kelp, conduits, and phantoms, and it will be ready for 1.13. I've started on a few of the 1.14 textures, but I have no idea what to do with the lantern. There's so little space on the bloody thing, and the vanilla model sucks. I did deviate a bit from the painterly style in a few cases, because there isn't a whole lot of oceanic stuff in the older versions, and I personally never liked Painterly zombies.
@quadrupedal_pink_equine Could you link your texturepack? It sounds pretty cool.
Edit: I did the current 1.15 textures too.
Edit 2: I forgot dolphins, but if I finish those we should have a 1.13 version, with reasonable progress to the 1.14 version. Anyone have any neat ideas for the loom?
If you ignore dolphins, yes. However, while the textures are made using the old Painterly ones, @GerbilCrab hasn't reviewed them yet. If you'd like to "Beta-test" them too, I'll send them. Keep in mind it's nothing official, though.
