Hello and Welcome, here you'll find the John Smith Legacy Resource Pack and my own modified JSC 'JimStoneCraft Edition', both packs are 32px resource packs for Java Minecraft.
Resource Packs are available for quite a few different versions of Minecraft so please download the Resource Pack for the version of Minecraft you want as the packs are only compatible with the versions of Minecraft listed on the site.

Minecraft 1.13.2 Update Aquatic
Minecraft 1.12.2 World of Color Update
Minecraft 1.11.2 Exploration Update

Also available are Snapshot packs, these are for the snapshot test releases of the game.
They have been tested using OptiFine and Sildurs Vibrant Shaders, these are not required but do add some nice features like Connected Textures (CTM), Better Skies, Random Mobs, Custom Colours, Shaders and lots more.
The resource packs have not been tested with any other mod, sorry I cannot help or support untested mods.
There's also a JSC Bedrock pack for the Bedrock Edition of the game too.
These are also only for Java MINECRAFT, if you're looking for the modded game 'JohnSmith Technician's Remix' then see the links below.
John Smith Legacy JimStoneCraft Edition (John Smith Legacy JSC)
John Smith Legacy JSC - Sildurs Vibrant Shaders
Long ago on a dark cold night I was watching JimPlayGames on YouTube play the game Minecraft, bought the game and after a few weeks I found out about dark room mob spawners to get all the good stuff, I then watched a lot of Monkeyfarms YouTube tutorials, then way too many Lets Plays and got hooked on the distinct look of the John Smith texture pack.
After about a year or so, JohnSmith (the original author) decided to no longer update the pack, the pack was too good to just let it die so the community took over and John Smith Legacy was born, I joined the project early on but slowly as all the others went onto the sickly sweet modded game and the millions of textures needed for that, I started to specialized in the vanilla game, took over the hosting and control of that release.
Quite a few people have helped over the years with this project, submitting new textures, bug reports, questions and general encouragement, thank you everyone and I hope this project continues for all time.
The John Smith Legacy resource pack for Minecraft 1.11 Exploration Update has now been released, note that this pack is not backwards compatible with older releases of the game, please download the correct release for the version of Minecraft you are playing.

I maintain both vanilla packs, the Legacy JSC is my own modified version 'JimStoneCraft Edition', both packs are for Vanilla Minecraft, the JimStoneCraft Edition is a branch of the standard pack and it's the pack I personally play the game with.
When I implement a new CTM or 3D model it's added to both packs so either pack has all the latest features only some textures are different.
The Legacy pack is more towards what the original JohnSmith author made and where the JSC has a few texture changes, you can see differences on the site in the screen shots on the main download page.
What's the difference exactly?
Too many to list as the JSC pack has evolved over the years, some are listed below:-
Smooth Stone, Wood and quite a few other blocks are different.
Wool, Clay and Glass have different colours.
Most of the items are different and they also do not have the black borders around the edges of the items.
Some entities like the Cow, Creeper, Slime and other are different.
There are a lot of players who have got used to the original JS pack and just want the missing items, blocks added in the newer Minecraft updates.
The best thing to do is just download both and see which you like the best.
