Today I have a fairly simple model pack, Better Items! Do you get confused when you see items standing upright when they should have totally fallen over? If so, this resource pack is for you! All the pack does is turn the item model whenever an item is on the ground. That way, items will "lay down" instead of standing up. This works for every item in the game as long as it is a "flat" item. Any new item added to the game or items from different resource packs will also be affected.
Why would you use this? It may not be super helpful, but it does look pretty cool. Using this resource pack gives Minecraft a subtle depth that makes the Minecraft experience overall better.
Thank you krisCrash! I tweaked the name of the thread a little bit so people don't think i just re-textured items. I am glad you think my pack is a good idea.
Antonyfist, I have used this in a number of different situations. One of my favorite times to use this pack is playing "Cops and Crims" on Hypixel.net. when a player dies, their stuff lies down on the ground so it is easy to see what all they dropped. You are right that items could be a little harder to spot with this on, but since you are two blocks tall and the items are on the ground, it isn't that hard. I just used a superflat world because that is the world I use to test textures.
Only issues I've noticed with this pack is thrown items, such as enderpearls, snowballs and eggs, all sit sideways while going through the air. But I imagine that's unfixable, and regardless the pack is really cool

I noticed that too. when you throw snowballs it looks like you are throwing a Frisbee. I don't think there is a way to fix it unless i go in and change the throwable items back to their normal item models.
I love this texture pack but ever since I switched to 1.8 for pvp it just didn't work. I researched and found out that 1.8 uses a different way to render then 1.9 so I was wondering if you could figure out how to do it for 1.8. If you do or don't make it for 1.8 I will still love this resource pack.

Better Items Pack 1.9
I noticed you used a superflat world. Probably the only place this would be useful when looking for dropped items.

Are there any ways to make this pack better? Let me know by leaving a reply below.
