Hey there! So, let's talk Viva Piñata. It's one of my favourite franchises of all time and was developed by Rare. What else can I say?
Oh yeah! Let's fuse it with Minecraft! Thus, I present to you... VIVA PACKATA!
Goobaa!
Sounds: No.
Other Notes: You can make your own variant of Goobaa with a dye!
Rashberry & Hoghurt!
Sounds: No.
Other Notes: Use the saddle (Soon to be Cheese Cake) to transform it into a Hoghurt!
Moozipan!
Sounds: No.
Other Notes: None.
Flapyak!
Sounds: No.
Other Notes: The mushrooms will become Viva Piñata mushrooms... It still won't make sense, but I guess we'll have to deal with it.
Zumbug, Ponocky & Chewnicorn!
Sounds: No.
Other Notes: In the picture, you can see a Night Watchling. This skin and more come with the pack!
Hostile Mobs...
The Ruffians!
Sounds: No.
Other Notes: The mobs you see are actually are a Zombie Pigman (Front left), Zombie (Front right), Zombie Villager (Behind the Zombie) and finally, Skeleton (At the very back).
Professor Pester!
Sounds: No.
Other Notes: Professor Pester holds Mr. Stick (Stone Sword) and is, obviously, a Wither Skeleton.
Sour Shellybean!
Sounds: Yes.
Other Notes: What should the Endermite be?
Sour Lemmoning!
Sounds: No.
Other Notes: There's a Charged Lemmoning as well!
Other Entities/Mobs...
Sarsgorilla!
Sounds: No.
Other Notes: This thing crushes the heck out of Ruffians. And it's great.
So, that's pretty much it!
I do need ideas for some other things, but let me tell you some things that are planned or not featured...
Not Featured:
-SKINS! THE SKINS ARE REAL! No, but seriously, you can download a skin pack I've included in the Resource Pack.
-Tools. I've covered all the tools. They're variations of the spade that you get, some things being a Trick Stick or Mr. Stick, etc.
-Some blocks. I've made textures for sand, snow, dirt and grass.
-MUSIC! That's right, I've got the Viva Piñata OST in this resource pack!
Planned:
-Wolves/Mallowolfs. The angry wolf will be a Sour Mallowolf, the normal wolf will be a non-resident, black and white Mallowolf. The tamed one will be a blue Mallowolf.
-Cats/Kittyflosses and more. This idea's pretty dodgy. Anyways, the ocelot will be a non-resident, black and white Kittyfloss. The tamed cats will be either Roario, Tigermisu or a regular Kittyfloss.
-Snow Golems/??? ... I'm not quite sure about this mob. I'd have to make pumpkins into some random Jeli heads. How about Bart? He's a pumpkin-headed dude. I'd just have to make the pumpkin look weirdish. Another suggestion? Vote in the StrawPolls below!
-Slimes/Sour Profitamoles. Sour Profitamoles are pretty spherical, so making them a slime seems like a reasonable idea.
-Magma Cubes/Sour Candy. There isn't really a spherical Sour Piñata left... There is Sour Crowla, but I have a feeling that won't go down to well. STRAWPOLL TIME?!
-Records. Romacne Themes! I'll make sure that each disc has approximately the smae amount of Romance Themes on there. I may include a theme, such as A-Z or Desert/Arctic Piñatas only, etc.
-Plants/Flowers. If they ha Viva Piñata counterpart, they'll be modified. Example - Apples will become Viva Piñata apples.
-Dastardos. Dastardos can be an Enderman!
Those are all the ideas/implementations I can think of/remember at the moment. Any other ideas? Any reviews? Share them down below!
Q. Why won't the resource pack work? I've dragged the .ZIP file in the proper folder! A. Aha! Well, you know when you open up your .ZIP file and see a skin folder and then a resource pack folder (The one with assets, pack and other weird things)? Well, drag that resource pack folder that's inside the .ZIP folder that you downloaded into your 'resourcepacks' folder. Reload it up and bam! Enjoy!
Q. Where can I download those skins that you mentioned? A. Well, if you download the resource pack, you'll see that there's a skin folder in the .ZIP file that you've just downloaded!
Q. What's "MilkingChickeñata"? It's inside the Skin folder. A. That's my personal skin! It's a made up chicken piñata that I created and I thought that I'd just pop it in there.
Q. Can I use this resource pack in a video or some sort of mine? A. Of course! But, I'd like to be credited. My name must be mentioned in a description or sentence or something. If you want to be extra awesome, you can credit my YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZ_tb9xJi4_rQEkxk-aPnrQ). I'd also appreciate it if you included a link to the download for this pack or this resource pack page. ONE MORE THING! Please tell me if you've made a video or something about this pack! I love seeing strangers enjoy my work that even feel good enough about it to create content or something regarding the pack! I'd love to see your work about my work!
Q. How did you get those voices and sound effects for the piñatas?! I can't find the download for them anywhere! A. Ah, I feel your pain. I didn't download them, nor hack the sound files (Although I tried extremely hard to). I busted out my Audacity, opened the PC version of Viva Piñata, turned down the music and speech and recorded my game. I then edited the recorded sounds and put them into the resource pack.
Q. Will you keep on working on this pack? A. Heck yes! I'll only stop when... You know what? I won't stop. There you go.
Q. I've tried everything! Why won't the resource pack work?! A. I don't know. I'd love it if you can send me a message or comment and describe the problem and the details. I'd love to help.
Q. Will you work on more Viva Piñata skins? A. Of course! They're not on priority right now, but if you want me to make one, I'll get on it and you can expect to see it in the next version.
Q. Is this pack compatible with Optifine? Will there be special stuff like multiple textures included? A. Heck yes! I don't have many ideas for multiple textures at the moment, but the 'steve' texture will have a variety of skins, all of which are in the skins folder. This will be in as of Version 6!
