A 1.8+ compatible resource pack supporting all resolutions, featuring true x-ray and ore highlighting.
X-rayed blocks include stone, dirt, gravel and cobblestone.
True x-ray allows you to see ore blocks even if they are surrounded completely by x-rayed blocks like stone!
Does NOT x-ray cobblestone stairs, grass, or any other block.
NOTE: this resource pack forces Minecraft to draw all ores regardless of where they are. As such, it WILL cause Minecraft to run slower.
NOTE: The 1.8 cave culling procedure (basically allows faster rendering) causes certain chunks to not render underground. As such, any x-ray resource pack has an effective range of only 16~48 blocks. To fix this, just move around through a cave system, causing certain (far) chunks to not be culled and thus rendered.
-----
This resource pack contains only block models and therefore allows use of any other resource pack / texture pack at the SAME TIME! So you can X-Ray even your favorite texture pack! Just make sure to add x-ray as the first (top) resource pack so it processes last.
This means the XRay resource pack is compatible with ALL resolutions x16, x32, x64, x128, x256, x512, depending on what other resource packs you have active.
-----
There are two resource packs:
XRay 1.8 FULL:
This resource pack offers semi-transparent stone, dirt, gravel and cobblestone.
X-Rayed version of Sphax PureBDcraft 32x resource pack!
Stone, Cobblestone, Dirt, Gravel have been xrayed, allowing ores to be seen through.
-----
XRay 1.8 LIMITED:
This resource pack does not have transparent blocks and can be used on servers which check against transparency. Instead, ores can be seen 1 block embedded inside walls by a holographic icon indicating the block to dig.
Coal ore inside the left wall, iron ore in the ground, and lapis ore in the back wall
This image uses the R3D.CRAFT_DR-64x resource pack!
The limited version does not xray stone, cobblestone, dirt, or gravel. Instead, ore blocks have extended rendering capabilities, displaying the ore type one block away.
