Calidus. was originally just a pack I was making personally for fun, as I hadn't been making packs, and it is my first pack in almost half a year. Within a week of working on it, I had a pack I was liking, and I thought it was coming together quite nicely. I posted a thread about it, and what feedback I got on it was positive. So, here I am, releasing it officially to the public. Calidus. is an 8x8 pack made with as much detail as possible packed in an 8 pixel by 8 pixel texture. It's made to make you have an RPG feel to it, but also a warm feeling with a "tone" of exploration. All I can really say is I hope you like the pack and I'll periodically be releasing updates as I work on it more.

After going hiatus for a bit, I've picked up work on Calidus. Today I'm presenting the Redstone Update. This adds most if not all redstone items' textures to the pack.
Alright, so I've been checking this pack out, and so far, I like it! The color palette is nice, there's not a lot of contrast, and the textures all seem to work together. But, I do have a couple of beefs.
The color choices are overall pretty good, but there's a few spots where the colors stand out in a not-good way. Particularly, the redstone and lapis ores, and the tnt. Those two ore colors are both really high-saturation, especially in comparison to the other textures around them. I see you've already got a nice red color picked out for your redstone block, and that one I like, but the ore is just too bright in comparison. Same goes for the lapis, it's just really high saturation in comparison to everything else. The TNT has a similar issue; the black that's used for the fuse and the stripe along the side is really high saturation, and stands out from the rest of the texture in a not-good way. There's already a much nicer group of dark-gray pixels around the base of the fuse, but the fuse itself is that hard, dark, high-sat black that really doesn't fit with the rest of the colors. And finally: the cobblestone. In my opinion, the cracks between the stones are contrasting with the stones themselves way more than anything else in the pack, and it sticks out like a sore thumb. Maybe lowering the contrast between them by lightening the cracks between the stones a little bit will help alleviate this.
Anyway, those four things are the only textures that screamed at me. I personally like the gold and diamond ores just the way they are. Overall, I really like it, and I think you're doing a wonderful job with this pack.

Curse PremiumAlso, 'dos' doesn't have an apostrophe; it isn't a possessive.

You can just call me Canary.
