This is a super-simple texture pack that I made while playing around with modding (no mods required for this resource pack). It causes ores to render as stone with lumps of the ore sticking out of it.

It's a nifty idea. Maybe you could make different model shapes for different ores?
That does sound like a great idea, but remember that in the real Vanilla game, only Lapis and Emeralds had unique ore textures. The others share the same ore texture, only recoloured.

This looks like a neat concept, and since only 1.8 and above support resource packs changing models of blocks, I'm guessing this is for 1.8 and above.

Not sure why you even mention the latter bit as it is a moot point. 1.8 lets you do random textures, so you can have many variations for any block that is currently editable.

Cast aside your festive doylaks: dragon stuff is about to happen.
Multiplayer is lonely once you understand how it actually works.

You're right. I forgot to specify that it requires Minecraft 1.8 in the post. I'll edit it to fix that.

I probably won't, but that is a good idea. However, I haven't figured out whether it is possible to rotate the models in the .json format. Without rotation, it'll all just look like cubes anyway.
P.S. Is it just me or is the quote BB code really buggy?
