I tried my hand at making resource packs a long time ago. Couldn't find any good resource packs based on these games at the time that I started making them. Maybe that's changed. I lost a lot of steam on the project because Minecraft kept changing its texture/resource pack formatting, forcing me to work on changing the layout several times, and resources were being added to Minecraft more quickly than I was making resources for these packs. I haven't done any work on these or had any interest in Minecraft in a long time. Figured I might as well put these on the internet in case anyone else is inclined to do something with them, since I'm certainly never going to finish them.
For both of these, some textures might render incorrectly in-game. This is because of MC-12699, which has seen no sign of getting fixed since I reported it like one and a half years ago. (I'm getting really tired of maintaining that bug report. Nobody should have to do this for this long.) You could circumnavigate this broken behaviour by recompressing the PNGs with simpler methods. I don't remember if I ended up doing this.
The first one was based on Cave Story. Here's a download link. I tentatively named it Minergatari, a lazy combination of Minecraft and Monogatari. Note that all resources are based on the original freeware release. I remember the last thing I was doing was messing around with sound effects, and particularly trying out mob sounds, which might not all sound appropriate in their current states. There's quite a few duplicate sound effects because I couldn't find any way to associate less files to a particular sound effect, and Cave Story doesn't have nearly as many unique SFX as Minecraft does.
The second was based on FEZ. Here's a download link. I tentatively named it MinEZ, a lazy combination of Minecraft and FEZ. This one is missing a lot more resources than Minergatari. I hadn't spent much time with the sound effects here either, so they're probably totally out to lunch in terms of volume levels. This also has duplicate sound effects like the former. FEZ has an excellent soundtrack, and I was working on my own renders of the music for this project, but I won't distribute those because I have zero permissions from Disasterpiece to do so. I will list what song equivalents on the OST I had mapped to which music files, though. Note that this doesn't account for any creative mode tracks, because those tracks didn't exist at the time.
Feel free to use or modify resources from these, but always credit me properly, and leave !GFD.txt unmodified in the root of any resource pack using them. You cannot make ANY monetary gain from these resources without my explicit permission, and possibly additional permission from the creators of the games these packs are based on. This includes URL redirection services that display advertisements.
