Umm, I've noticed that the Coal ore random textures in the addon for CTF/M are missing? I miss them from the 1.9 version. Also, the new stone textures in the random textures are a bit extreme imo. The orangish/brownish one stands out WAY too much as well as the white one. It's nice to have the variety, but it's really SUPER obvious and stands out. it's distracting and breaks immersion. Other than that, I love it. I've been using this pack only since 1.8, but I love the style and I think I've said it before, but the connected textures/optifine support is the #1 reason I use this pack and recommend it to people. I love the wood textures, and especially the GUI textures holy cow <3 As of other feedback, I'm not too sure. Everything else is pretty much perfect imo. Thank you so much for all this
EDIT: I removed the stone textures I didn't like myself, and I actually thank you so much for the way you set up your CTF/M files. It's so much more organized and clean, allowing for easy texture removal or additions unlike almost all the other packs who use really obscure ways to do it. Your method does also increase performance as well. I redid all of the CTF/M in your pack with the same method the BDCraft (Sphax) team uses and it had a significant effect on performance.
Hey there! Really awesome pack, however I have three suggestions.
Dark oak in general blends to much - in a build with a lot of dark oak and dark oak planks/stairs/slabs/etc. it just looks like one vaguely textured blob (though the individual textures look awesome). Not sure how'd you go about fixing this, and it's not a big deal, but still.
Underwater is far to dark for my tastes. I get that you're simulating how it would be IRL, however, in minecraft you do enough work underwater that I'd like to be able to see XD When I go underwater ATM I lose almost 100% visibility.
I think that the ring around the top of the cobble is really out of place. While it looks good when you have cobble as a floor, cobble mixed with other stones for a weathered look feels completely out of place, or cobble in the walls, or cobble stairs...the ring just breaks up the texture far to much. If you could release a version (possibly as part of the other awesome variations you have) that has a more traditional cobble style I would greatly, greatly appreciate it.
That being said, I love the pack as it's a better looking, more vibrant version of faithful. The add-ons are awesome, and I'm very happy you've made this.
I've created an edit of the wood and the water... The water is lighter and easier to see underwater. The log and the planks were edited as well. Keep in mind, this is an EDIT. Not my work! The OP owns these textures! I'm not claiming them as mine. I hope they do help though.
So, just FYI, but the furnace_front_on animation mcmeta file that lets you see that the furnace is burning items was broken and not properly animated, so you get a bring pink texture. I was able to fix it, though, so that's all right.
My biggest gripe with the cobblestone texture is while the bar works when using a lot of cobblestone together (and looks really good), when cobble is by itself (say, mixed with the other stones) it looks really out of place.
The underwater vision might be somewhat my problem, as I'm having issues with dark textures on my monitor ATM (obsidian looks pitch-black in all texture packs to me) but whenever I go more than 4-5 blocks underwater, it's like I have a blindness potion on. 0% visibility.
