So, I was looking at 420 free pixel art items, from 7Soul1 the other night, and thought.... Yeah, those are fun. And free to use? Okay, let's seeeeee.......
This pack replaces plants and plant stuff (most of it) with crystal stuff and weird grass. Put it on top of whatever 32x pack you like, and observe the joy.
(In the screenshot, I'm using it on top of Spliced, my other texture project, but that's hardly a necessity.)
Obviously, you can use these textures. They're overwhelmingly 7Soul1's textures, and permission has already been given. The changes I made are totally minor; just importing them, some color twiddles, etc.
I like the concept, so props. I wouldn't normally condone not doing the work yourself, but this is decent.
Thanks!
And, yeah, like a lot of people, I started out by making my own home mix packs, and doing little edits.
I think my remix habit has... Kind of extended further than usual; remixing with art that's specifically marked as free to use, and remixing at the level of building textures out of 3-5 others, that kind of thing.
I'm aware that's distateful to a fair number of people - and I can see why; if I'm lazy doing this kind of thing, it's just a rip-off. Something the community is pretty burnt out on. So I stuck the credit way out front on this one. It's a change I'll be making to my other project as well; moving to putting the credits for material I edited right up front, with links back to the originals, no matter how heavily edited.

Props for that too. These textures make it look like a "big-time RPG" like some older Nintendo games.

Alchemic Ash is my mod.
It's full of slime and furnaces and fireballs and magic gems and explosions and lightning.
