I have a Minecraft Alpha resource pack, and I want the star texture changed to the one from alpha up till beta 1.3. I KNOW FOR A FACT YOU CAN CHANGE THE STAR TEXTURE WITH OPTIFINE!! Here are the comparison pictures:

So yeah. I want the bigger stars! Could someone make a resource pack that JUST changes the stars? Thanks
The starts are hard coded into the game. What optifine and mcpatcher allow for is an image to replace the sky. That is not the same way minecraft does it, it's not an image it uses.
Look at tutorials for better skies, it you can find templates for the mapping and then well.. all alpha is is white box's randomly scatterd.
However you wont get the flickering or any of that with a still image that the game does...
