3D block modeling was supposed to be for 1.8 anyways.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
The harsh reality is that it takes a bitter, heartless leader and an army of blind, deceived yet devoted soldiers to win a war. Empathy makes a good leader, but it is also a weakness easily exploited

what does that have to do with anything? ive been making this texture pack/ mod for almost a year now. and im sure they didnt plan on making back then. and i know for a fact the way they have it its very hard for an end user to make a 3d model, thats something that 3d-craft will offer. also .obj's have alot more capabilitys as a model than .json ones. the only thing good about .json is it has animation support. witch im working to get with .obj's.
New update!!! V0.9.1
-Minor fix's
-Occlusion for bricks and cobblestone
-more to come soon^_^

So this resource pack is going to be for shaders only or vanilla?

ok guys i really did not want to post this until it was done but some things came up.. anyway i have version of this texture pack up to 512x smooth and sharp versons. i wont release it until its a bit more done, but here are some screenshots to preview.
Any plans for more (and probably more specific) specular maps for the 16x16 textures? Otherwise I would probably do that on my own, even through I'm not sure what each color did...green color for when it's raining and so on...
An example:
It's probably to yellow, otherwise it should only reflect if it's raining, if this didn't change, probably I'm just way behind, the last texture pack I adjusted was arround 2 years ago.
Looks like this ingame, (your white plane did not reflect here at all, at least with none seus packs)

yes specular maps wil be in the 16x16 version. there actually should be specular maps with some blocks, like diamond block and redstone lamp block. im not 100% sure how specular maps work, if i need to make an alternate version with specular maps that are compatible with other shaders like yours i will.
This is Sonic's way for the reflections. While this doesn't work really well in packs based on Chocapics pack.
Sonics way in short:
Green - Makes blocks reflective when wet (raining) (althrough in his preview shaders the green only blocks still reflected a tiny bit, maybe he changed his method here and there as this post is 2years old)
Red - blocks are always reflective but even more when wet
Blue - metallic reflection, I think it doesn't reflect (light)colors
Should work in most packs based on chocapic if the textures 100% red, green or blue.
But the effect is kinda slow, so be aware of that while testing.

While in most other shaderpack it's:
Green - reflective
Yellow - reflective
Blue - reflective
I think red is also reflective.
We should probably try to do it like Sonic does...at least I try to change it in my pack.
EDIT: I think I just got it, or almost got it working in my pack.
Nah, just noticed this also seems to work in cho's pack but the texture have to be completly green like this:
Also I didn't notice it before because the wet-dry dry-wet effect is kinda slow.
If it doesn't work in other shaderpacks I would say it's up to them to change their code.
So most parts in the world could probably use this specular texture(reflective things when wet):
While blocks like the diamondblock could use this(always reflective things may become even more reflective when wet, depending on the shaderpack I think):
And blocks like the Ironblock or Irondoor (metalic things):
Those texture should probably work with every shaderpack as long as they are 100% red, blue or green.
Sry for may confusing you.
Some actually ingame pics with a green texture for stone bricks while raining, you see no rain because of the biome... (seus, cho, and mine)

yes it didnt take vey long for me to figure this one out but thanks^_^
But I'm not understanding how to get the same picture quality. My misunderstanding lies with the fact that bump-shadow-waving 0.9.8 is a Shaderpack AND so is Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders.
So I have v 0.9.2 of 3D craft, but I only see the 3D effect when I go into the Shaders menu and select bump-shadow-waving 0.9,8. So how do I get the 3D effect AND use Sonic Ether's Unbelievable shaders?
I have Karyonix's Shader mod installed for both 1.7.5 and 1.7.2.
I have Forge 10.12.1046 installed.
I have: bump-shadow-waving-0.9.8-mc1.7.2-140322, SEUS v10. Ultra DOF.zip, and seus-v10.1-Preview2.zip in my shaderpacks folder.
I've tried this in both Minecraft 1.7.2 and 1.7.5 and in both versions, only when I select bump-shadow-waving, do I actually see the 3D effect.
Basically, my confusion is, how do I use bump-shadow-waving AND seus-v10.1 preview 2 at the same time to get the 3D effect?
Or is the "single shader" that the texture pack works with currently, bump-shadow-waving? In which case, everything I just said was pointless haha.
I hope I've provided enough information that someone might be able to help me, thanks for your time.

this is because Sonic ether hasnt really worked out POM in the 10.- versions yet. you can enable it but it wont look right. everyone will have to wait for SEUS to fix his shader: / including me. beleave me it bug's me to. right now i only advise using Karyonix's Bump-Shadow-Waving shader pack. hopefully this will change soon:)
also im glad you like the pack, ive put my heart and soul into what ive made^_^
