Experimented with some very basic models for leaves. They are converted to crosses to add a more fuzzy leaf texture, and I'm trying to figure out how to leave the block leaf with it too. Aesthetic alternative to Better Leaves and grass for now. Maybe I'll add some 3D grass too.
In the second image you can see the problems caused by having any level of mipmapping (overall it's good), but it makes the leaves look atrocious and should be fixed by Mojang.
As of the release of 1.8, the current download should have all the block textures for the new 1.8 blocks (renaming title to just [1.8] ).
Some textures were washed out previously and lacked contrast. I've recoloured some using my palette. Most importantly, hardened clay is in need for an updated texture because the old one was terrible. Expect an update soon!
-edit- Fences are completely messed up, something with models, will fix that too.
Nice pack, like the ideas about random plants and stuff, some things are a little oversatured/high contrasted.
Spruce leaves seem to get affected by mipmapping, and that's within the game. Nothing I can do about changing the texture. If I turn mipmapping off it looks normal, but the rest of the game is jagged. I agree some textures might have saturated colours or high contrast, will try to redefine them.
