Update time, guys! Got a little carried away by all the new blocks... I've totally remade all the concrete and concrete powders; got a guide here to help with them since they're all renamed. I like decorations, what can I say. Hopefully you guys like what I've done with them.

Another week, another update! Am I on a roll or something? Seems like it, for now!
So I wasn't at all as happy with that "Large Rock" concrete powder recreation, so I changed it into Mud. Dark dark dirt, really; just be careful; it will still change into it's concrete form (which happens to be light blue shingles lol) if placed by water. Kind of a bummer that I can't change it's function, but hey, mud is still more useful than a big old rock that doesn't tile, right? haha
FINALLY made my skeleton mob; wither skeleton and stray included though I still need to do the stray overlay (haven't decided what to do with it yet); included some random mob alts for the wither skeleton and regular skeleton.
Please be aware, optifine is needed for the alts, but the newest snapshot is needed for all the new blocks... take your pick. ^^;

New update! Got a bit done this time; finally tackled more items and mob stuff!
And alt blocks. This one's fun. I was looking around and found out how to reskin the double slabs- so I did! Every stone now has an alternate via the double slab, and every wood block has an alternate plank thickness. Screenshots under the spoiler tab. :3
I also redid a couple things; the sandstone slab side and top got a nice makeover that I'm super happy with.
This pack continues to look so awesome. I'm glad you've continued to work on this.
A couple of things on the armor: prepare to get people telling you that the iron and diamond armors look too much alike. They're very hard to tell apart at a glance. It's pretty obvious that you used the same base, tinted it, and then added crystals to it. Not really the best.
Also, the chain mail is very flat and featureless. This is one where if you're going for that look you need to invest a bit in highlights and shadows more heavily so as to imply shapes such as the roundness of the torso and legs. It would probably also help to add an actual boot and make it look like the chain is draped over it. Maybe give it a proper steel toe on the outside to keep the color and look a bit, but definitely have something there apart from just the chain.
But aside of those two critiques, it looks good. I know I don't comment much, but I am happy that this pack is being worked on since it's quite beautiful.

But I know what you mean; I'll likely update them more in the future to give them more uniqueness, but for now at least they aren't default anymore? X'D
As for the chainmail... true. I will have to look into that- thanks for the tips! :3
Thank you for the honest constructive feedback! Took me long enough to even DO the armor; and as happy as I am with the iron, I know it's a cop-out to use the same design...even if I am horribly proud of it. *laughs* And not to worry about not commenting, I know you always check my updates, as far and few between as they can be. I appreciate that, and your compliments (and the critique; how else will I continue to improve?). :3
And shoot... at least the cookie doesn't look like an under-baked lump anymore. *laughs*

Clearly a WIP and I have a lot to do still... Trying to keep with the general theme, but changing things up enough that it's not going to be an obvious recolor. xD
Still got to alter the kneepads, shoulders, fix the chest armor in the front a bit, and probably change up the helmet, but I'm rather happy with the chest piece now. :3

Hey everyone... last update from me. Yes.. I'm abandoning the pack...

Just updating what I've got done, as I will be reworking the pack for 1.13 compatibility. So for now, the pack has gotten a slight rename to include 1.12 (still works in prior compatible versions).
Just wanted to let you guys know that I WILL be keeping this version of the pack up even after I have a working 1.13 version ready. At least, until forge and optifine are updated for 1.13 so you can all use the pack in it's full glory; I'll probably retire the "1.12" pack version and take it offline at that point, leaving the most up to date version as the standard.
For now, those of you still relying on optifine, forge, or other 1.12 dependent mods, can still enjoy this pack at it's best. :3

Silent Hill called. They would like their nightmare fuel back.
Not even joking. I saw that image and immediately went "Someone played Silent Hill while working on her pack." The aesthetic is uncanny similar, save for perhaps featuring a bit more blood than is common for SH monsters which are usually just dirty-looking.

xD I actually wasn't playing while doing this, but Silent Hill will always have a special place in the darker reaches of my mind; so I did draw inspiration from the style of the games. Glad you recognized it! You should see the baby "pigmen" (or just peak at the texture), just as freaky without the skin overlay. x3

I did it... I didn't think I would do it in a week... but I did it. It works in the current versions. I MAY have gotten a little carried away; since I was having issues with the flower pot alts (which work now, but the new system makes the flowers/pots change textures..not much I see to do about that but if anyone knows or finds a trick I'd be glad to hear it)... I now have..way more alts for plants:
New "desert plant" (it's another cactus), new alts for all the flowers, changed up a few flowers so there's NEW stuff!, and decided that the potted ferns needed a redux, so they don't rely on biome anymore, however I have 3 textures of differing size and color so the variety of potted foliage has been upped. :3
Textures for new stuff are done, updated some textures and redid a few minor things... list is of course in the first post, as well as a new download link to the current version of the pack.
Please be aware that this will overwrite the old pack, so if you want both the working pack for current snapshots and the old stable pack for 1.12, please remember to download both, as both are available on my deviantart page and can both be loaded into the resource packs folder at the same time!
Anyway... if anyone finds anything wrong, any bugs which may be related to my pack and not snapshot bugs, please let me know!

Should have done this days ago... only realized at 1am this morning that I should have... this update includes an upgrade to the Christmas chests, as they were a little messy- missing ribbons and no edges. So I cleaned them up, for anyone using the pack who hasn't gone in and replaced them with the default chests, of course. x3
Few other updates in here that are far more important. And I have screenshots this time! XD
First off, I finally finished the largest paintings, and converted some smaller ones over to a more neutral, less cherry blossom copy-paste, and incorporated more norse related themes (how I've managed to combine asian and norse themes and not have it look like a mess is beyond even me! haha). All paintings are my own work; either digital or my own photography. In fact I have a few more real life photos in here now. Hope you all enjoy!
Next up, something I'd been meaning to do for some time now... another mob is finally skinned: the horse!
Nether portals are now weird falling red particles; decided on going this route rather than the swirls (I admit, this may have been a lazy move on my part, but I like how it looks), and I opted to changing the color to red since it seemed more fitting... besides, how cool does this look now?
And last, but not least, the reason I only have a few updates and no mass load of awesomeness... I wanted to get this out now for those of us doing nothing better on Christmas Eve (lol, I can't be the only one, right?)... gave the Christmas chests a minor overhaul so they don't look broken.
That's it for this update; just as a reminder.. the older 1.12 pack has NOT been updated with these new features. I'm focusing on the current, up to date snapshots- besides, as much as I love my skies and random mobs, I doubt I'm the only one who would rather work with the new blocks and chest functionality, right guys? Chests for days! XD

Hahaha I didn't even think about that, but I guess with the bright gradients, I can see that. Like 80's but not as neon. I'mma take that as quite the compliment, thank you!
Yes, it's been a crazy couple of years! After MCPatcher and Optifine took ages to load back with 1.13 in '18, some life things, and sort of hitting a bit of a creative block, well, I meant to get back to this sooner, then the world was plunged into chaos. I sort of avoided a LOT of things for 8-10 months, then at the beginning of last year a lot happened (good.. different, busy, but good things) and time sort of got away from me... next thing I know... it's been 4 years since I touched this, or Minecraft save to open it, get overwhelmed looking at all the changes and new things, and close it again. I don't know... almost 2 weeks ago I was working on some little custom things in Animal Crossing and started really itching to do more than the limiting color pallet could allow, finished what I was doing there, closed it, got the 1.18.1 update and have been uhhh... rather busy since. hehehe
I have umm... umm... *checks my changelog and pales* HAVE I REALLY FINISHED 98 NEW BLOCKS!? Huh, I guess I have. And that's not including items, updated, tweaks to textures and texts.. and I'm not ready to share the update QUITE yet so there'll be even more. heh heee o__o;

The old downloads are still there, as well as the new one. All updates from here on out are going up on MediaFire so I don't have to worry about weird sites with weird upload limits or weird hard to find download links.
...Guess it's time to start working on the NEXT update? Hahaha
