I will list my favourite packs from 16x16 to 512x512.
16x16: Sanity
32x32: John Smith
64x64: HerrSommer
128x128: BufyCraft
256x256: LB PhotoRealism
512x512: CaraCraft (Warning: This + Normals melts my rig after 10 mins and I have the absolute latest Nvidia graphics card on the market as of December 2013. I am also running a server at the same time, but this pack is still for no mere mortals.)
These are my favourite though, unless I know your tastes a bit more I can not do much of a good recommendation.
Edit: Woah, just downloaded Clouds Descend. Them plus SUES shaders gives Sanity a run for it's money.
Edit2: Going to give you some screenies OP so you can see the packs.
Edit 3: Here you go. Just a note, I tried 3 times to get the 512 to load for Coracraft, my Graphics Card kept crashing whenever I tried. :/ Not my day I guess. Not much of a difference, especially with the way I took the screenies. All screenshots were taken outside my server's spawn with SUES shaders.
