Shaded is a simple texture/resource pack made to make the game look a lot simpler and less complicated.
Information
This resource pack was meant to create a less complicated atmosphere for the gaming essence of Minecraft. It is not meant to be highly detailed, but has been set to a resolution of 32 pixels by 32 pixels.
-Shaded is a resource pack made off of the Faithful 32x32 pack made by Vattic. All credits go to the respective owner of the pack. If you would like to see/download that specific pack, click here to be redirected to the thread containing the download and information. If you need any further information about the relation between these packs, please message me on this specific website and I will reply as soon as possible.
Any older versions than 1.7.x will not be created for this resource pack. However, if another person creates a successful version of the pack that is compatible with an older version of the game, that will count as a part of the pack.
If there is a major problem with the pack, please message me and I will fix it as soon as I can. Some things related to the pack are not my fault, including the incorrect door placement bug that is currently in 1.7 versions.
Other Important Information
This pack is a work in progress. To prevent any questions about this topic, I cannot say enough that this is a work in progress. Please do not complain that the pack is not completed and is only in a beta phase. Any replies that are negatively posted about the pack's development will therefore be dismissed/ignored.
This pack was created by SmeeTextures, or smeekiller on Minecraft. Any unfinished blocks that are not textured to the pack will be placeholded as Vattic's Faithful 32x32, like shown above.
This post is being very annoying and glitchy if you are seeing the messed up effects that are shown on my screen. I am sorry in advance, and I cannot fix this. It seems to be a Minecraft Forum server bug or something...
EDIT: I have tried multiple times after losing data (quite annoying) and fixed the problem. In advance, enjoy the pack!
(another) EDIT: I expect it to happen again, but I don't know how to copy text in this format (aka export to edited media file.)
SmeeTextures is clearly a new member (figured by the post count), give some slack. Gosh, people these days are so tense all the time...
So that excuses him? Is this his first day on the internet? No it doesn't, and probably not. This applies to basically everything in life. The new guy on the team doesn't waltz on to the field the first day and start doing things his way, unless he wants to become "That guy". You hang back, socialize, and get a feel for how things operate.
Plus a little common sense here. If you are going to upload something visual, would it not stand to reason that including pictures is probably something you should do? You wouldn't blindly buy a painting for a million dollars just because I said it looked nice, would you? (If you would then please, contact me and we can work something out.) You would want to see what it looks like before, just in case you didn't like it.
Wow, I am terribly sorry for the inconvenience... I feel terrible, I truly do... Anyway I hope this will be help... Here is the screenshot.

Great turnaround and save, I will give you that. Thank you for that.
That said, however, now comes the criticism of the textures.
1. First point about the overall pack. Although you use gradient, which is technically shading, the blocks still look flat. They have no definition making them stand out. They look very one dimensional.
2. Props on the consistent theme, using the gradient on most everything, however, that isn't exactly a good thing. Because of it, every block is perfectly defined and stands out, which is also called poor tiling. When making textures that are repeated over a large area, you want to minimize this effect, otherwise it just becomes annoying to look at for most people. It is possible to define each block and still have it tile well, but honestly, this isn't it.
3. Its a start. You clearly have a better grasp on whats going on more then most people posting "simple packs", ill give you that, but again, the lack of any detail just makes the whole pack look flat and uninspired. Your gradient theme can work if you added some dimensional shading to things, like make the bricks stand out.
Pretend there is a light source looming over your texture. and give shading based on what direction the light is coming from. The most common direction is from the top left side, so give a light shade along the top and left side of your bricks and a dark shade on the bottom and right sides.
The biggest bit of advice I can give you is to never rush things. Spend some time, like a week, or a month, and work on your textures. Don't force things, just do what you feel is good. Your textures will go through many iterations before you are satisfied with it. I know in my texture pack alone, my stone texture has gone through about 5 or 6 different styles, and I'm still not happy.

No, I won't check it out tomorrow. You are supposed to have screenshots before posting.
Cast aside your festive doylaks: dragon stuff is about to happen.
