From completely out of nowhere from someone you've never heard of, it's the flourish pack! This started out as a little hobby during which I was trying to learn color harmony and theming. Six months later I ended up making this pack in it's entirety. I got inspired after seeing the Simple Pack Showdown and decided to make my own palette and do textures for practice. I went for a blocky, cartoony, and vibrant style using little or no dithering when possible. I labeled it WIP because there are a few things that still need to be ironed out and a couple textures I haven't done yet. Major things like the blocks, items, armors, and some friendly mobs are completely done so it shouldn't interfere with the aesthetic too much (some mobs are lazily indexed to my palette though so they look kind of wonky. I put a lot of love into this pack and I hope you enjoy playing with it as much as I did making it.
NOTE!: If you use a language other than EN-US, maked sure to download the "other languages" option. I will be doing all other english languages (UK, Canadian?) in the default GUI next.
Download
Many aspects of the resource pack rely on having McPatcher installed so if you don't have it already, click that link and get it installed. Or don't, but don't be mad when the vanilla colors intrude into your interface. Other than that, download away!
I'm putting this under an attribution, non-commercial, share alike creative commons license. You can use my texture in modified packs and compilations IF AND ONLY IF you attribute my textures to me AND put a link to this post somewhere AND you do not use adfly or any other means of making money off of my work. That's just not cool.ARTISTS: I did draw all of these texture by hand (well, by mouse I guess), but if you feel I have somehow stolen your work, let me know and I will try to work something out with you
Coming Updates
In the near future, I plan to have anything and everything in vanilla changed to something I made with a few small exceptions and add support for CTM on some of my textures. After that, who knows. If this gets popular, I will consider adding more mod support and whatever else I think might be cool. While I'm finishing this up, I'll be posting weekly updates until the vanilla stuff is all done. Even if I only make one texture that week, I'll post it and say what I've done in the changelog. Speaking of which...
Changelog
2/22/2014: New grass top, tall grass, and double tall grass textures as well as a new grass biome colormap that mostly constrains the biome colors to my palette. Dirt and gravel were edited to fit with the pack more. Birch leaves are now yellow instead of sickly green. Special font characters (@#$ etc.) now Flourishified. Enchanted items pulse now instead of the default flicker. Universal GUI for non english languages implemented.
Other Notes
I am totally open to constructive criticism and suggestions on how to make some blocks fit in better with my packs theme. I can't promise I'll act on them, but I will always try to keep making this pack as awesome as possible. I also want to give a huge shout-out to David Capello and his pixel art tool Aseprite which I used for the majority of my work on this pack. Thanks for looking and enjoy!
I only have one criticism, but it's a big one. Look at the bottom bun. You should have gone easy on the ketchup. What is this, amateur hour? I mean, come on game designers: get with it.
Broken download. Also let me say that this pack is truly inspired.
Did you try it more than once? I downloaded it without logging in to my account and it seemed to work fine. If it still doesn't work, I will post a new link. Also I am posting a sizable update tomorrow featuring the universal gui for those who use languages other than EN-US and new biome colors among other things. Thanks for the feedback so far. It makes me very happy to know you all enjoy my hard work.
I hope this is still a thing. I've only just found this texture pack right now so I hope you're still working on it. What you have done so far looks really good.
