The first picture. How the top of the grass looks, and how it doesn't work with the color you chose for the dirt.
I sorta like the grass top, but you are entitled to dislike it.
And the dirt did change to a different color, see just about any image that is not on the main post (I have not updated the main post yet, although I probably should)
A double update! Lets start the main pack is updated to version 3.3. It has different carrots, tweaked packed ice, and I fixed a bug with nether wart showing the default texture.
Snapshot pack is updated to 14w32b. I added all the new variant fences and fixed the oak fences. I also gave a custom name to Smooth Red Sandstone.
Yay, thanks for the quick response! As one that prefers to embrace the pixellyness of Minecraft, after running around with this pack on I really like it, it feels just like I'm in a classic Mario game. <3
I made a video using my custom version of Mariocraft with some voice clips of Mario from 64, and it sounds silly due to Minecraft messing with the pitch. I can see why you went with the power-down sound. XD

That, and the fact most of the textures are themed on the older Mario games, so I tried to get sounds from that era if possible.
That's because I could either use Yoshi Story or Super Mario World, and of the two, story had more sounds. I sometimes chose a later sound because it ounded better or had more variety.
1.8-pre1 was release, and contained a new skin with thinner arms. It is now Luigi, as he is a little thinner than Mario, and I had the file hidden away in Mariocraft for awhile (with thicker arms though).
There is no picture since I was not "randomly" chosen to test the three pixel arms, likely since my name ends in an even number.
Version 4.1 may come soon to fix an error with the enchanting table GUI showing the old lapis, and the incorect name for Granite Bricks. I would want to include a few more fixes though, otherwise I might just put it in version 5.
Version 5 is in development, but here is a teaser screenshot:
I am also working on a variant pack, called "Dj's Mariocraft World" based on Super Mario World textures. I am not too sure about it yet, due to the fact that Super Mario World has a completely different color and shading style as the rest of my textures, causing just about every block to need redesign.
I just released version 4.1 of the pack, to fix a few bugs and add a few blocks in preparation for 1.9. I decided to add the new netherrack texture as well, so all of the changes are released.
Blocks:
New netherrack and Nether wart pallet
New andesite pallet
New fence model
All fences have unique textures based on the logs
Entities:
Chain Chomps no longer look as terrible
Mr. I now has red streaks when his thorns are extended
Big Mr. I is no longer red
Fixes:
Polished Granite is now called "Granite Bricks" instead of "Bricks"
Enchantment Table GUI uses the new lapis lazuli texture on the grid
Beacon GUI has green beacons rather than rainbow (leftover from previous color of emeral
Leaves now display the proper colors when on fast graphics

Curse PremiumI'm sorry you feel that way. May I ask what is hard to look at? Is a a certain texture, or the color scheme?

Curse PremiumUpdate to the latest snapshot. There was only one new texture (not including the banner overlays), so I decided to add some other fun stuff instead.

Curse PremiumSnapshot pack updated to support 14w32d. It comes with five new types of doors, and new textures for my old ones.
Also, in the last update, I broke the item for nether brick fence, and that is now fixed.
