Not as much reactions to this post i must say. I can imagine alot of people (judging by the replies to Misa's Pack) to be happy to be able to continue using Misa's pack with 1.7.
You might want to revisit Acacia planks as well. If you put down an expanse of them like 10x20 for a floor, the orange color intensity can be a bit overwhelming.
That seems to have been the key to Misa's genius - nothing was ever overwhelming or unnatural looking, yet it was distinctive. How hard can it be, right?

Exactly! Other packs have interesting blocks, but putting them together as a building resulted in sensory overload. Misa's blocks are not particularly eye catching by themselves*, but they integrate very well.
All that said, I'm happy with pscof42's patch. My new house is dark oak tree trunks combined with regular oak boards. Nice contrast.

*Except soul sand - love her soul sand! Subtly creepy, but very creepy nonetheless
Thanks for working on this. We miss Misa and I'm glad someone is trying to fill in till she comes back. I like most of your textures. My one suggestion is the flowers need a bit more detail to feel more realistic.
Finally found some Acacia trees, and made a room out of the planks. Spot on perfect. I would not have thought orange-ish wood would look, well, right, but it does. Thanks Again!
I'm unable to get Misa'a texture pack & the patch to stay selected in the resource pack menu. Super frustrating. No errors in the logs can't figure out what is causing this. Has anyone ran into this problem? Running Windows 7 & McPatcher, otherwise installation directions followed to a T in Misa's & PSCO's directions. I've never seen this phenomenon before.
GOOD NEWS!
Misa has resurfaced! According to her VERY long post in her thread, the rumors of her death have been greatly exagerated! In her same post she expressed her appreciation to me for helping to patch her work to 1.7.x. I'm so very excited at this news. She has stated that there are some technical hurdles she has to overcome before she can get back to work on her texture pack.
As such, I'm not going to stop work on this patch until she releases her own update. She's got a lot going on and one of my original intents in this was to take away some stress from her, so I'm sticking to that plan.
She responded to everyone in her thread (for which I feel she has won at least two internets) and said she will be responding to PMs in the near future. I'm hoping this means she'll allow me to finish and release the connected texture work I have derived from her license protected work.
Ulterior Motive: I also wanted to bump this in the forums because a lot of people have been wanting an update from her and I want to help people see there is a temp fix available for 1.7.
After so long since i last checked up on Misa it's amazing i checked back just after she got back on
I'm having trouble getting the download for your patch to work though =/ Yahoo just pops up and says it couldn't be found....
I'm back only in the sense that I'm online again, but I'm also in a transitional period that doesn't really allow me to work on the texture pack at the moment. My computer's shot and needs to be repaired, all my tools need to be set up again, I still need to find a stable source of income, and it looks like I might be moving yet again to another state this summer (though one that'll be more beneficial to establishing a stable source of income hopefully). Even when I get all set up to where I can work on the pack, I'll probably have to play a lot of catch up on all the changes that have been made to the format of resource packs. So it may be quite a while until I'm truly back into the full swing of things.
Just a few notes on things I've seen that need work. Enchanted Shears, Enchanted Golden Apples and Enchanted Fishing Poles have no "sheen" to them. They look no different than their un-enchanted counterparts.
Also, Melon Stems don't seem to have been updated. They appear to be the default pixellated mess.
Otherwise it looks good.
Although I seem to be having a problem with the Beacon. It looks truly horrible on my system.
I assume this isn't what it's supposed to look like...
Wait a minute! I just loaded another world and it looks fine. What could be causing the beacon corruption on my main world?

So for this I thank you!

You mentioned you were only making patches for the official releases so I made my own patch for the snapshots for those who want them ( http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/2296441-64x-snapshot-14w02b-misa-texture-patch-new-stone-and-slimeblock-textures/#entry27945883 )
Thanks again
Les
Thanks for filling in the missing images for 1.7.
Shaun
I really enjoy the work you've done, and would love to see it continue!
I have no clue what could be causing that.
Littlebear,
Yes. I will update 1.8. I'm not actively playing MC right now but my wife is.
Everyone else, thank you for the kind words, support, and suggestions.

Either way:

This is a bug in Minecraft, see https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-1279
