Your pack seems simple at first glance because it's a 16x pack but given a second look i can really tell you put alot of effort into it. It feels like vanilla minecraft without being vanilla minecraft. One of the beter 16x packs out there let me tell you. Great job.I hope you continue to up date as long as your able to.
Thank you. I hope to one day take it to such a level of refinement that it essentially becomes the second default. But not for the popularity, for the artistic achievement. It's a long way to go in my eyes
Oh my god, I love this. VERY nice resource pack!
Thanks man.
While this isn't really my sort of pack, I really like a lot of what you've done here, especially with the items. I love the items. And that GUI is mighty fine.
However, I feel that some of your blocks are rather flat and don't have any real depth where they should. I'm talking about your cobblestone, nether brick and logs; they mostly just look like solid, slightly noisy colour with lines drawn on. I also think your netherrack and dirt is rather shapeless.
That's okay, it's just a matter of perspective. For example, I find your texture pack very noisy and overly saturated. We just have different design goals. Although... I am quite biased in saying, if you play with this pack awhile, it will grow on you
Big Update. It's been a while, but I still have many plans for this pack. I intend to push it to completion, going to work on the GUI soon. It helps me out if you leave a diamond:
The workbench is much closer to what I would like. Over time I'll keep refining everything until it looks super tight and consistent. Play with it, let me know how it feels for you.
Thanks. I can't expect for everyone to like everything about it, but I will keep improving the textures, so it will only get better. I'll take a look at the trap doors.
I enjoy the simplicity of the pack as a whole, but in particular I enjoy the saturation and cobblestone - thanks for the pack!
My one item of feedback would be the colouring of the dark oak planks. Is there a particular reason why you chose to make it so bright - instead of a darker colouring as to match the original somewhat? Personally I feel that it would be better off being darker, as it was/is the only dark plank available.
@ekkelett: Thanks for taking the time to reply. I agree with you about needing a dark plank, I'll change that. The reason I chose a lighter value was in response to how ugly and unrealistic I felt the original plank colors were... but of course there are dark woods in the world.
Just to clarify, are you saying you like its lower saturation?

Just from looking at the screenshots on the first page, I can tell this pack would fit very nicely inside a Minecraft world. What's the resolution? At a glance I'd say 16x16, but the sprites look so good and full of shading and such that I can't help but wonder how many pixels there really are.
I'd say the Nether Fortresses are my favorite part of it, the Nether Bricks and other Nether things look awesome. I'm not so sure about the Creeper, though. It looks like the bottom row of its mouth is missing. Granted, that is only two pixels, but when they're bright like the non-facial features are, the entire mouth looks a bit weird.
To be honest, this is what I actually look for in a resource pack. Too many resource packs these days are "dark", "faithful", "64x64", or all of them at once, and I find it hard to find something as unique as this.
@thebaum64: Thanks! Did you like/dislike anything specifically?
@Worldsshruggged: I've thought so many times that "with just a few more pixels I could make this sprite so much better..." but I've kept everything strictly default resolution. It's painful sometimes, but my personal goal is to make the best 16x pack.
Thanks for pointing that out about the Creeper, I fixed it for the next update. I agree that too many texture packs deviate. I think the artists make everything different either just because they can, or because that's the best they can do to make their pack stand out. For me, my focus is just making the highest quality pack possible, but keeping everything recognizable, improving/changing only when I strongly feel there's a better solution.

Another Update Today. I finally went into a water temple and found prismarine to be hideous... so I made it better. Also worked on much more:
Bringing you another update today. Here's what I worked on:
Additions:
- Iron Trapdoor
- Prismarine Crystal
Improvements:
- Creeper Mouth
- Polished Granite & Andesite
- Fishing Rod
- Acacia Leaves
- Dead Bush
- Stone Bricks
- Redstone Lamp
- Water
- Stone Bricks
- Snow
One of my goals is to make every block useable, to make you want to build with it. With the granites my idea is to make the polished versions function as tile, and the Andesite is looking pretty sweet. You should check it out. I did some color tweaks, still finding the sweet spot, but the water is a huge improvement I've overlooked. Just one simple change made everything fit so much better.
The pack is coming along, and most definitely has its own flair at this point. To reflect the direction I want to take it, I've changed the name to Prime.
Although this is the same resolution as the default game it is far superior in every way. Great job working with only 16 pixels. it's amazing to me the level of talent you have.
