Very much love this resource pack, and i gotta say. The fact one of the paintings is now a unicorn made me laugh a bit, too.
anyway yeah, Steelfeathers you're the creator of all my favorite texture/resource packs so far. xD
Hey! No dissing the unicorn. It's a fabulous unicorn.
I couldn't help myself. I had to do it. It's like a compulsion - I have to use MC patch to give my birch trees golden leaves.
So here they are, the golden woods:
Looks gorgeous, really love it! You've also just inspired me to make an addon pack that turns my birch tree's cyan and renames them into something fantasy-esque.
Wow, I'm not usually a fan of anything other than a shade of green for leaves but them golden beauts have won me over! Adds more variation to the saplings too!
My thoughts exactly. I think the birch sapling looks particularly nice when put in a flower pot. :3
I'm loving this pack! Is there any possibility of implementing CTM and/or SEUS support? I know Optifine and GLSL haven'te updated for 1.7+ yet, but wouldn't you rather be ahead of the curve? It would be nice if we had a non-photorealistic pack that supported both and is still semi-faithful.
On that same note, my only real gripe about this pack is the Soul Sand texture. Doesn't seem very Soul Sand-y to me Also really wishing that items had gotten love already, but I'm sure it's coming

Learn some Java before you mod, and skip over the chapter on ModLoader, straight to MinecraftForge. It's better. Trust me.
Oh my god those saplings are epic! I love em! Referring to the few updates I missed, the rails have a really cool feeling, I imagine they will look awesome in caves. The foliage you've been working on adds a great atmosphere, my only reason to use mcpatcher is this pack.

Thanks for dropping by!
There is already some CTM support, but I don't see the need for extensive CTM. One of the benefits of 16x is that it's okay that everything doesn't tile perfectly or line up perfectly - the higher your resolution, the more visible all these little 'glitches' are.
As for soulsand....soulsand and I have a strange relationship. I like the tormented faces idea, but at the same time it's incredibly hard to do with 16x. The best example of it I've ever seen is Wayuki's soulsand, and I really don't think I'll be able to improve on her texture. So instead of reinventing the wheel, so to speak, and ending up with an inferior Wayuki-esque soulsand, I usually decide to go with a different design.

I like the one on the left more. The other one feels a bit too busy and I don't think it tiles as well as the left obsidian. My eye naturally strays to the line of unshaded stones.
I like the left one better, it's less cluttered. I can see what you're going for with the obsidian but I can't help but feel like it could use a little more shine.
Which do you guys like better, right or left? (Or do they both suck and I should just start over?)
The texture itself looks good, but the right-side texture looks rough, like dirt or gravel, while obsidian has very smooth faces and sharp edges, so the left-side looks more like obsidian. They are both a bit too clumpy for obsidian in my opinion, obsidian to me is crystalline, and more square/rectangular, but if you do redo the texture, I hope you will use that texture for something else. Brighten it, make it beige and use it as Endstone maybe?
I'm loving the texture pack so far. Now I have something to replace Dandelion. I just can't seem to get the torch's flame to burn. There's no fire there. I tried patching it using mcpatcher but it wasn't working. I might've patched it wrong I cant seem to get the hang of it. Help?

Retired StaffObsidian and hay bales. Just for you.

The palette is great; everything is rich and bright without being overpowering
I look forward to seeing it finished

Retired StaffWhoops, I must have missed that one somehow. I'll have to swing back around and get it done.

Curse PremiumUnfortunately I'm kinda just thinking it may be worth starting over, I'm really not a fan of either tbh.
I really hate texturing obsidian, it's a pain and a half...
Of the two, the left is better, but I think you should try again. I prefer smooth obsidian, though, so maybe I'm not the best judge here.
