Okay, well I couldn't get good hue shifting without adding a bunch of new colors, so I changed the design of the standard quartz block to minimize it's similarity to ice/snow. Does this look better? Also there's a new redstone lamp in there too.
(Thanks for everyone's comments earlier- they really helped me out)
EDIT: Is it better? Anyone like the glowstone lamp? Yes? No? ...Bueller?
I really like the glow on glowstone (heem), it really look like amber. I rather see your glowstone as a big chunk of amber, not as a lamp (I suppose it's the effect done by the black stripes?).
Also for the quartz, I suggest to add some beige to the blue and white of your quartz, that's the more common color of natural quartz. Really good work on this pack
Oh, I should have clarified. That's the glowstone lamp. The regular glowstone does indeed look like chunks of amber.
Yes, I was talking about thy pillar. Since a lot of thine early blocks relied on shapes and colours only, the sudden amount of dithering and random noise is rather... odd.

I'm a little confused. I've always used dithering on the textures in this pack where I thought it was needed...
It just seems like you used too much. The dither makes the quartz look overly grainy.
I appreciate that you're taking the time to give me feedback, but I really don't see what you're talking about when you say that I've been using "too much dithering" on the new textures:
I prefer the new pillars but the old quartz suited the block better IMO. The brick design doesn't look as expensive as the smoother marble looking one. The redstone lamp is nice, I like that its not too far from the default design.
I like smooth marble myself, but Sheep was right, it looked waaaay too much like ice. Actually, that texture would probably work well as packed ice, come to think of it.
A bit weird to have such autumny brown leaves on the ground, then green spruce leaves above...
Okay then. They're pine needles. Leaf-shaped pine needles. Because I said so.
EDIT: Ignoring the slight strangeness of having fallen leaves in a pine forest, do you like the texture otherwise? (Because, as we all know, minecraft is as far as you can get from 'real life' in a game)
EDIT EDIT: Wait, wait! I know! This is why you need fallen leaf podzol:
Still green leaves though...
It would work better if you had a more 'fally' biome leave colour.
The texture itself:
The top~looks good
the side~wasn't it supposed to be fallen leaves? I don't really see that here.
Keep it! Again it's nice that you haven't gone too far from default, but there are two dark pixels that line up each block. I think ones on the top ones on the side.
Could you point out where exactly? I don't see it.
Also, fun with screenshots (because I can).
Tried to make a good spooky forest podzol setup, but Sera is right, I need a fall biome color leaf. :\

this is no kidding not one single bit of kid!( that sounds bad) my favorite texture pack I HAVE EVER SEEN! i am going to use this texture pack for my whole minecraft life!!

Retired StaffGlowstone on the left, glowstone lamp (or sometimes called redstone lamp) on the right. The lamp can be turned on and off.

Retired StaffUm...no. I rather like the bricks now that I've used them for a while.
But to cheer you up, I've managed to fix the super green biomes using MC patch. Deserts and savannas now look as they should.
EDIT: Oh, and the oak logs now randomize appropriately. You're welcome, Sarah.
Without MC patch:
