Pixel Daydreams is a bright, happy, charmingly retro resource pack for Minecraft. This is my first attempt at creating a texture pack using a (mostly) set color palette in a traditional pixel art style. It is based on DawnBreaker's 32 color palette, although by this point I have just about doubled the number of colors.
At the moment this pack is in beta release. This means that there are things that aren't done. There are things that probably need to be changed. But most of all, it means I'm looking for people willing to do some rigorous testing and provide feedback.
Please do not review this pack and complain about how things aren't done! I know they aren't done. I have eyes - I'm very aware of what isn't done. Just enjoy it as it is, and keep checking back for updates. The pack may not be done now, but it will get there eventually.
Copyright disclaimer:
This resource pack, and all the art it contains, are my original work. You do NOT have permission to take my textures and use them in your resource pack or indie game if you intend to distribute it. If you're just making your own personal remix pack that no one else will ever see, then fine, go crazy. But if you want to post it to the internet for people to download, paws off the textures. **The exception to this is porting to other minecraft platforms. If you want to make a ported version, please drop me a comment**
If you take my stuff and use it without permission (or worse, claim that it's your own), you are not only being a rude, terrible person, you are also breaking the law. Keep that in mind.
Videos showing my pack are, as always, more than welcome.
(Please note: I am not giving permission for the use of my textures at this time. Don't bother to send me a PM, because the answer will still be no.)
I kind of prefered the "Grand Adventure" name, but names are just names.
I'd honestly love to see you add some CTM to this glorious mess.
Er....CTM and I are separated at the moment. I just couldn't handle it's finicky nature, the way it kept changing with every update, and all the complaints about its high-maintenance requirements. The relationship unfortunately had to end. The divorce papers aren't finalized yet, but I don't anticipate using CTM here. At least not for anything vital.

I'm not saying for a lot, just a few things here and there, like oak logs. That repeating knothole is a turn-off for me. Maybe a nice fence texture, too.

Oh, okay, I see what you mean. Sure, that shouldn't take too much effort.
Seriously though I'll post back later with some more feedback whether you like it or not.
EDIT: Disregard that... My feedback is that everything actually looks fantastic apart from what isn't completed yet. Not often I come across a pack where I have no complaints... Only critique I can make is that this pack requires me to quit minecraft before swapping to another because the bright colours make all other packs look dull and lifeless if I swap in-game.
Can't wait to see what you do with the rest of the new textures though, it's going to be interesting to see this pack evolve!
Seriously considering doing some sort of video on this, would you rather I wait until official release though?
It's up to you. I don't mind if you want to do it now, although if you do use the beta version in your video, I would really appreciate it if you would preface the review with something like "It's still in beta, there are things that aren't done." I can't tell you how irritating it is to see a flood of comments on youtube to the effect of "redstone lamp looks like sh*t" because the redstone lamp hasn't been retextured, and people somehow don't realize that I do intend to change it sometime in the future.
TL;DR: If you have the patience to wait until official release, that would be great. If not, have fun with beta anyway.

Wut?? Sheep doesn't have any criticism??? O___o
....
PARTY TIME!!
But seriously, I'm glad you like it. If you have any critiques/suggestions in the future, please drop a comment.
I'm sad to hear you won't be adding much CTM to this, but I'm excited to see what item textures you'll conjure up next update. Will the full release include new torch flames and other effects or is that something you're not interested in working on?

Not totally sure if I like the grass though, a bit too contrasty for my tastes.. But I like everything else!
I love your Mycelium, very nice concept.
Oh, right. It's steelfeathers. I suddenly understand why it's so good.
Mission accomplished.
It grows on you, I promise. You aren't the first person to have said that.

Go for it. Just please remember to check back every so often to keep the ported version up-to-date.
No dude, I just said you could. It's cool. A ported version is not the same thing as ripping off my textures for someones' "AwesomeCraft" pack.
Yeah, posted that before I saw yours. My bad.

I liked Grand Adventure too, I was just afraid that people would find the name egotistical, or something.

I've always though of you as being the pixel-art guru on the forum, so I'm glad it meets your approval.
This pack is lovely! Though to me the grass looks a bit more like fallen leaves.
