Update Info: In this update we included tweaked cobble and custom MC icons. The pack now also includes textures for all 1.7 blocks EXCEPT the new flowers and tall grass/ferns.
NEWS: C&C now has it's own MC icons! They're included in the ZIP file.
MinecraftDL.com has decided to put candles and Clockwork in their “Editor’s Picks” section! Click HERE to check out their review of the pack!
IMPORTANT! To install, OPEN the ZIP file rather than just putting it in the folder. You need to extract the folder titled as the resource pack to the resource pack folder.
Candles and Clockwork (C&C) is a wildly popular texture pack made by our group and originally posted on Planet Minecraft. Since (due to someone messing with our account) we’re banned on there for ten years we took our pack to MCF instead. C&C was originally a sound-only resource pack with music from the popular web comic, Homestuck. Over time it was adapted and altered and now contains new textures for all the blocks (not including 1.7) and some of the items. Once all the items and blocks have textures we plan to make a new set of textures for them based of the originals but more Homestuck-themed. A good deal of it is optimized for the features added by OptiFine or MCPatcher and will be listed below.
Older images can be found HERE in this post's image archive and HERE you can get images that aren't shaded.
o Complete block textures for all versions up to 1.6o 10% of items completeo CTM on several blocks including glass, bricks and stone brickso Most of the disks have new songs from Homestuck (Ex: Cascade, Savior of the Waking World, Descend)o Full GUI based off of NoxCrew’s Game Boy UI (permission given and will be proven when I can locate the PM they sent)o MCPatcher support (you name it, we supported it)o Much, MUCH more
Q: What’s Homestuck?A: Homestuck is a web comic created by Andrew Hussie about a group of kids dragged into a video game that came to life (okay, that’s not quite the idea but it’s close). It’s several thousand pages long and the longest piece of literature ever created only behind a Super Smash Bros. fan fiction nearly four times the size and maybe a couple others. It takes forever but it’s worth the read. Just a warning: it contains a good amount of adult or “mature” (not pornographic, however) content that’s most likely not suitable for anyone under the age of thirteen.Q: How long is the wait between updates?A: I tend to update very often with little things here and there. Never will I update without reason. Large updates will be announced ahead of time.Q: Can I help complete it?A: We’re always open to new people joining the team working on this. We currently have 4 texturers and could use some more. If you want to help just send a PM to use via PMC (account name: Dat Tree Gaming) with proof of your skills and why you'd like to help. If you're included and have a PMC page, we'll link to it in the post. Thanks to a reply, we were notified that we hadn’t actually included unshaded photos in the image archive. As of today (11/18/13) we included the missing images in a new collection made solely for them. You can get there by clicking the link under the collection of shaded images on this thread. Enjoy!
Can you get some screenshots without shaders? I'd like to know what the textures actually look like.
If you read the description you know that I linked directly to a set of tumblr posts containing unshaded images along with the entire image archive for this post
I went through the older screenshots, I don't see any without shaders. At least, not any that are taken of the pack being used in minecraft.
The point of screenshots is so you can see what you're getting, but honestly I have no idea what to expect from this. Shaders can make bucket-filled packs look decent, so I can't really judge what you've done from this.

We're really sorry about that! The unshaded images are in a new link so they aren't hard to locate.

The important thing is that you were willing to fix the issue. We get a lot of people here that push every problem or criticism off as hating, quite an annoyance.
Anyways, as Malcolm said, there are a bit of clashing colours, largely in plant life. I'd say the moss should be toned down in specific.
I'd also suggest adding a shadow under your sidegrass.
There are some good textures in this but there are a few inconsistencies with the overall theme and feel, so it's a team of you working on this perhaps you should work on keeping the same style and colours consistent for all textures. there are some with bright saturated colours and more with dark unsaturated colours, and your use of contrast also varies a lot. There are a few tiling errors in the netherrack and I think I've seen those stone bricks somewhere before.
Thank's for the input. Back when it was on PMC we got comments similar to this. Like it says, this is a WIP so expect it to all fit very nicely when it's done.

I really get ed off by people like that as well. Your suggestions are on my to-do list.
