I didn't get to be in your carved sandstone. :c
Anyways, things like your dirt and grass look fantastic, rather cartoony and nice.
I feel that your sand and sandstone need to be reworked, though. They don't quite seem to match the almost-smooth look that a lot of your blocks have.
I'm also not a big fan of the tile-type stained clay, doesn't suit the natural generation.

Sorry about the sandstone, I wanted you to be in there, but this is what I get when I look up your name on MCSkinSearch (what I used for everyone else).
Anyway, I also agree with you about the sand, I tried to do it without using noise (to follow the palette), and random dithering everywhere looks very unusual. I'm not so sure about the sandstone, though. If I made that any smoother, it would probably end up looking like the quartz.
Also, I agree with the stained clay. I made it back in 1.6, before mesas, so it was just used as a generic building block (like how Broken Anachronism has broken tiles).
You know, the minecraft username MCF accounts have aren't just for show.
Honestly, the biggest issue with sand, I feel, is that you have the brightest colour smack against the darkest. It makes it look sharp, which isn't something fitting for something so loose as sand. That applies to sandstone, as well, though it's not as much of an issue on sandstone; largely just corners being to sharp.

If you mean the white being next to the darker beige, it doesn't really bother me. Nevertheless, I tried a more 'mainstream' approach:
*Removed udders from male cows
*Fixed legs and lighting on iron golems (and ones from the Golem World mod)
*New sand (and red sand)
*More random sandstone varients (and they all work this time)
*New snow that isn't recolored grass
*New Mojang title image (it still follows DB32; believe it or not)
I'm not happy with the new sand, but it's better than the old one. Expect another new one in the next update.

My skin made it into the chiseled sandstone CTM!
I put all of the screenshots that I had into a folder in Dropbox, to try to clean things up. I was unaware that that would change their URL...
I guess I'll just have to do that tomorrow. It's late around here.
EDIT: I am unable to use imgur and photobucket, for reasons that are outlined on the first page (post number 11).
Good job on this.
