Hello, some of you may know me from my maps. But right now I have decided to try my hand at resource packs. So this is my first attempt right now its only about 48% complete. I have modified everything except paintings and sounds. Right now i'm working on sounds. There will be two packs in future one with default sounds and other with my sounds. Because some of the sounds for people may seem annoying or whatever. So I will update this pack frequently till its 100% complete. If you like what I do keep following my work to see future updates.
Another simple pack, These really are not original there are over 10,000 just like this.
This needs work a lot of work to say the least, bucket filled, flat, single coloured simple packs are not received warmly here. You need to make textures with shading, unique designs and colours you can't just bucket fill the default textures and expect praise for it. There are many tutorials around the place for you to learn the basic techniques to make a texture pack. What you've done is a start to texturing but in no way original or unique.
I recommend you abandon this project and begin something new when you learn some technique, we would much rather see a handful of blocks with great quality that shows effort has been put into them than an entire pack which is just another effortless dull, overused idea of simplifying the default textures.
If you want to make a minimalistic simplistic pack I recommend reading this thread before you continue.

But I spent my time working on this pack, creating it the way it is, giving it the cartoonish look. Sure its not awesome as other packs. But simple is another category you don't compare simple to realistic or whatever.
And who the hell do you think you are recommending me to abandon my project? Are you some sort of a texture pack god, who knows everything how it needs to be? Less criticize other people work and focus more on your own work.
Everything I did on this pack is on purpose not lack of knowledge. I wanted it to be as simple as it is, didn't want to add any shading or whatever. I always look forward to suggestions, criticism too but from people who really understand what they are doing. If you are new don't try to be a badass critic tossing around wise words, the things you said is like spiting on someones work. If you want to suggest something than do it right, but do not tell me to abandon my work or that i didn't put effort in it, that sir is not criticism that is stupidity in major level.
No one has a problem with simple packs, but if you do want to post something here, we expect better than this. Everyone is tired of the single color with a darker outline. It's old, it's boring. We've seen enough.
If you do want to take on the simple genre of resource packs, I'd recommend looking at some of the good ones, take your inspiration, and make something fantastic.
For example, Bluebird or Dandelion
Or, you could take some inspiration from some more cartoony packs like dragon dance.
You could look at any pack you wanted, of any style, and be able to learn something new, if only you try to.

In all seriousness, though, this isn't too bad. It's certainly not up to the level of Bluebird or Dandelion, but as far as the "everything is outlined squares and rectangles" genre of simple pack goes, this one does some things well. For starters, not everyone is a bucket-filled square with a slightly darker/lighter border. Just, well, most things.
There is actually some inventiveness in this pack, and where it shines are the little details. The uneven ghast eyes and the damage on the zombies. Even the sandstone has some variation which makes put it at a cut above the normal 'simple pack' that we see.
Where this pack still fails is... well... everywhere there isn't a lot of detail. Most of the blocks are the same flat squares of color with the same slightly darker outlines that we've seen a million times before. It's not 'cartoony', it's just a boring old grid. Don't agree? Show me a single cartoon that has that style outside of a cyberspace scene.
Overall it feels like this pack is trying to be a good simple pack, but is still mired down in the same conventions as 90% of its brethren. More detail work and more new ideas could really set this pack apart but, sadly, the author doesn't seem to think that this is necessary. A shame, really, as there's actually some potential here.

I'm not sure whether to be filled with joy that you took my suggestion, or despair that it's come to this.

Although I really do not support simplistic packs like this, it is a start. I know my first pack was one just like this. Probably wasnt the best idea to post this on the forums, but it is a good start. Keep going and try with some more complex ideas. Add some variation, gradients all that jazz. I know you cant make something amazing on the first try, but with practice comes great product. Good job bud.

If people feel like making one and uploading it, why not? Same with the greenscreen packs.
IF IT SAYS SIMPLE IN THE TITLE, YOU DON'T NEED TO CLICK ON IT! Are you forced to click on it? No.
If you are so "sick" of simple packs, don't click on them WHEN THEY CLEARLY CLAIM TO BE A SIMPLE PACK IN THE TITLE!
