I just wanted to know if you knew about some ToolKit (a la Elder Scrolls) coming to create the resource pack, or will it always be the good old fashion way of messing around with the files directly?
. . . You mean MOD? This is java, and a simplistic 3D environment, I don't believe you would need a kit. Please elaborate. What files? A mod or a texturepack?

This was supposed to be a witty signature, but then it got lost somewhere.
I meant Resource Pack, which en-tales any modifiation or addition to the games content, so yes it is a Mod.
I mean we could run around in circles all day trying to define what a Mod is, but for me a Mod is anything between changing a single texture to modifying the code behind combat in the game or adding a new player character feature.

Thats what I meant.
Thanks for the reply
I think you're a bit mistaken. There are resource packs, which change the textures and sounds of Vanilla Minecraft, and mods, which add new content to Vanilla Minecraft. Although it's planned, the two are currently seperate, and are NOT lumped together, and no, there are no easy toolkits for creating either (there are some cheap mod-making toolkits, but they aren't very flexible in terms of what you can make with them.)
