*I have been given the great honor of keeping the Ōkami texture pack updated for Postermahn
as he will no longer be able to continue it himself, credit goes to him for creating this outstanding
texture pack and a big thanks for letting me continue this project!*
This is a Japanese Ukiyo-e style resource/texture pack based on the PS2/Wii video game Ōkami.
While this pack is about 90% complete and that there are a lot of things missing, this pack has
been worked on enough to be enjoyed for 1.6.2; still a work in progress, hence the "Beta" status.
Its doubtful that you'll get frustrated over it's in-completion.

You can run the HD textures without patching, but some of the blocks may appear to be on fire, while other blocks may look a litty funky. On another note, HD fonts won't be installed and forests will look like someone tried to destroy the area with pesticide.
Thankfully, Kahr's MCPatcher HD fixes this problem. The button below will take you the to download along with the installation tutorial on his thread. Another alternative is the Optifine HD Patcher which not only fixes HD textures, but tweaks your Minecraft to run faster!
If you like this resource pack, be sure to leave a comment, suggest ideas and give reps, Thanks!

just installed the pack and truely enjoying it, but I have a small issue and don't know how to fix it.
all running water is a mess of purple and black squares meaning a missing texture, I know the texture is in the works, but how do I revert that one texture back to the original till the new one is finished?
It looks really good!
Although did you make all the textures in it? (because it says "continuation")

Glad to know that you are enjoying the pack. I'm currently trying to fix some of the animations. Replacing the water texture is rather simple; if you know the location as to where the water textures (water_flow.png/water_still.png) and the mcmeta files are found in the pack, then all you need to do replace them with the default textures/files found in the default jar file. Hope this helps!

Thanks. I did not make all the textures as this project was originally created by Postermahn and was dormant since Minecraft version 1.4.5. So all the textures that came from the 1.5, 1.6, and the textures that will be coming in future updates are all going to be made by myself; I have already created the hardened clay blocks, hay bales, and redstone/coal blocks.

You've probably already noticed but the nether portal texture doesn't show up (tested with 64x and 128x packs, using Optifine for the high res support and no other mods.)
I'm really glad this was continued! I remember checking from time to time to see if an update had been done. I did come across some problems though like the water animation that was previously mentioned in this thread. I understand the pack is still in the works and I'm looking forward to the updates.
What I really loved about the old texture pack was the cherry blossoms replacing birch trees using the More Colors mod from MC Patcher. Please do add this feature in your next update since in my opinion the cherry blossoms were one of the most iconic textures in the Okami Resource Pack.

Great, though unfinished.

Ok
That is something that I am considering to do in the future!

I really enjoyed it in 1.4 and was eagerly waiting for it to update.
