I try to stick to 32x32 ( and they work fine together in 1.5 and 1.6 being mixed ) and Its not a simple bucketfill pack you think it would be by just looking at the pics
and The my style is getting more better with each pack change
and the currrent style is ocd and they are origanal i made them from the default pack ADD LOOK AT THE COBBLESTONE that shading download it and see Its much better than the crappy screenshot I make It's much better ingame than looking at pictures
Sorry to say, buddy, but adding a slightly lighter/darker shade one after another is monochromatic. While it can be considered shading, it looks ugly and is a bad practice. To effectively shade you have to work with hue and saturation. It's not easy creating a texturepack, though it probably was back in the day where there was just a field of ideas ready for the picking. Now you have to do a little more searching/work. Just take everyone's advice and work on it instead of arguing, because that isn't going to help.

I'm trying too but nobody giving good advice your the person who gave the best advice so far about my shading and how to make it better so thanks
You say it is not a simple bucket fill pack, but it sure looks like one. These textures need a lot of work, they completely lack shading, and just look simple and plain.
And do you have a them? Because I can't see any particular style to this pack. It looks unoriginal.
You should avoid mixing resolutions for your blocks. I see some that are 16x16 and some that are 32x32. They don't really work that well together. Try to stick to one resolution throughout.
Im sorry to break this to you but this is very bucket filled, you say it's not but were is the shading? all I see is solid colours about 2 different shades on each block.
Try getting away from the default scheme and or think of your own colour palette simple packs can have shading
yes number one didn't help any I already knew that number 2 was just really a suggestion to my pack (I didn't know my bricks and some other textures were 16x16 and number 3 ooh number 3 That was helpful but didn't even give any help on the shading just told me to use shading find a palette that I already had and gave me a smiley face and said simple packs can have shading and that person gave the most helpful advice Phil gave the second or third most helpful advice Zao told me why people dont like packs that are like mine, right now because their monochromatic I'm in the process of changing the current textures to fit stuff better

Er...I don't think you quite understand what monochromatic means. xD
Also how is a suggestion unhelpful? You really shouldn't mix resolutions. At least not the way you did.
People here are also expecting you to do some researching of your own. You can't always describe how to shade and select a colour palette in text. We're not here to make you palettes either. That's entirely up to you, since it's your pack. Actually go out of your way to look this stuff up. You can find a lot of helpful pixel art tutorials online, that cover a wide range of topics, including colour choice and shading. I really don't see how Zao's comment is different than anyone else's.

And the reason mixing resolutions was unhelpful was that I didnt mean for a few blocks and items to be 16x16
And the reason his comments different is because he said more to help any of you who commented individually
ps. And you just contridicted yourself too by saying other people not going to help me a pallette but other people are going to make me pallette in a sense just wanted to point that out X)

1) I still don't see how it's unhelpful.
2) Can you tell me how? Because I don't see the different. And I partly mean that as a serious question, in order to help improve how I give feedback. I don't see how he gave any more than anyone else. We all tried to point you in the right direction.
3) That...isn't a contradiction. We're helping you with advice and feedback, not by doing things for you.
I'm in the process in makeing a big change to the whole pack It's going to look waqy different more shading better textures lower kb less ctm BUT MORE SHADING XD
I like the coal ores and the ironeven though i don't like everything else. All you did on other blocks are just hue swifting. Which is not shading see . It's just lighter colors on top of the dark colors. This does not look good.
Thanks I'm in the process in changeing the ores to the style of the coal and iron and the diamond block I like but I dont like it at the same time I'm probaly change the hue and stuff
Josh is it ok if I put a link in a video to your resource pack download? If you don't remember me, I'm that guy that played on your LAN world when moonlite wanted help on her map that didn't really happen.
Question did you download it im working on changing the pictures from one already up to the newest one so the newest pack is different from the pictures
