I originally made this pack because I couldn't distinguish between certain colors in 3-D Anaglyph mode (it was originally grayscale, but my color test version ended up being more fun to play with). It's designed to make it easy to differentiate ores and items by sight. Orebox ended up being a 16-bit bright mostly-faithful pack. I've done almost all the GUI, 90% of the blocks, 75% of the items, and half the mobs.

Licensing stuff- As long as I'm asked first like "Can I use your ___ texture?"), I'll let others use my work. Just give me credit for my creations and we're cool.
Hi, this now supports 1.6.x! Please note that for the 1.6 pack, I've only made one new texture (the hay bale)- the pack is still very WIP.
I love criticism- the more the merrier, as long as it isn't just "Your pack sucks". Tell me why you think it sucks, so I can fix it (or at least have a chance too defend my textures). Or, if you don't think it's that terribly awful, I wouldn't mind hearing that either .
I figured out what was off with the grass blocks- they were using the same pattern as the default. In the next update (due Friday-ish since I want a new number to mean more than four texture changes) I've changed the pattern to be more right-angle-y.
Right now, I'm trying to get a better sand texture (which means a lot of looking at what everyone else is doing for inspiration), but I'll see what I can do about the ores. I'll have a couple alts in the update as well.
I should also mention that WIP 1.8 does have an error in it (again, fixed for Friday). The Villager GUI currently does not show when a trade is not available (I derped and forgot to put that part of the texture back in after I edited it).
All right, new update's live. Took a little longer since it's a whole new number and I wanted that to be justified. Anyway, it's good to have this up. Let me know if there are any bugs to fix or stuff like that.
I actually like this Pack. The style is simple but effective. But I think the ores (Redstone and Lapis Lazuli in particular) should be more blocky/chunky.
I see what you mean. Honestly, I like the "veins" look for redstone; it's kind of like wiring. The thing is, I'm not sure how to make either more square without messing with the existing items (I already have iron as a horizontal rectangle; would lapis as a vertical rectangle be too close?). I'll look at the both of them again, though.
