You really think this doesn't have shadings? And actually some people are linking the new rectangle thingy. And this doesn't have boring style.
Well yes, shading isn't just adding shapes onto it. I mean actually adding some depth to the textures. Simple things like embedding ores, making stone look like it has cracks and bumps, things like that. Even a very small amount of shading for simple packs and cartoon packs can add a lot.
I think it has a boring style because there's just nothing interesting going on with it. The colours are very bland, no hue shifting and quite similar to default minecraft. The textures I've seen don't really have anything that ties them together to let people know that they belong to the same pack. They're just... Boring... :/
The new textures are a huge improvement, but there are some simple things that could make it much better.
Ok I can already guess that it would be helpful but what does embedding ores mean? So can you show me an example what a good texture is?
And he did hue shifting ans also what does very bland mean?
It's not a bucket fill but it is a random mess of squiggled lines that serve no use other than well.. yeah no use at all. It don't add anything to the pack but fill it with tileing and pattern errors that are ugly and 'details' that make no sense and look like someone scribbled random lines over a block.
