I just got finished recording a video with this pack, and I've had this pack for a while, but I'm still discovering sounds, and if a sound in this pack is supposed to be scarey, it's scarey! Check out the video from minute 37 for my reaction to this sound.

I'm running low on time!
So version 1.3 will get out until 1.4 is released?
On the normal version, when you kill a pig or something, they scream, so it makes you feel sad, but on the no-hurt version they don't, so you can carry on murdering all the inhabitantce of your cow farm with not a single thought to it.
I would like to report some issues I've had with some sounds in this pack. I am using "SnowSong v1.4 for Minecraft 1.7.x and Later, Original Version";
The sound for breaking grass, for example, aswell as wool, sounds like they are "cut" at the end. Like the sounds cut and does not finish playing, it's like they are too long and the game does not play the whole length of the sound. So it sounds really bad.
There is also no sounds.json, is that intended? I noticed you have "hurtflesh.ogg", which would not play unless you added it as a sound in sounds.json.

I really have no idea what you are talking about. The sounds are not truncated. I checked them again, concerned about your post. They are fine and sound as I intended them to sound. Sounds.json is only needed if sounds modifications are intended...so no, it is not needed since no modifications are made through the script to create overall normalization. And, to let you know, there are some very old files included with this package that were released with the original pre-public-beta for those who yet prefer to swap out to those original sounds. To hear them in-game would require a VERY old version of Minecraft, or, some file-swapping.

Right, that makes sense, that it is compatible with older versions of thegame that for example uses hurtflesh.
Maybe I will try to record gameplay with the sounds, because to me they just sound broken, and really low quality. I am using the 1.4 version of this pack, so I am not sure if the ones I have are bad sounds, but they should not be bad..
I found this thread you made, and what that user describes is what I hear, too. The wood placing/breaking sound is pretty loud, compared to other sounds.
You might want reduce the file sizes, the entire pack is now around 172,000 KB while SnowSong_v1.1.16x was only 96,000 KB (including the kz.png and with all stereo sound effects). The wolf's growl3.ogg has a long period of unneeded silence after the sound, which takes up more space. Like ragger said, some of the sounds are low quality, which seems to be due to a bad mic. Personally I prefer the old dirt/gravel breaking sound, but that is up to your preference.
Also sounds such as the wither and ender dragon death, the wither spawning, enderman stare and the portal travel sound can still be in stereo since they play at the players location, not at the mob/source's location; therefore direction is not important. This also makes it seem like the sound is coming from everywhere, which is especially useful for boss birth/death sound effects.

Thanks for the music disc nightmares.
Muahahaha.

The music in-game is beautiful! I will be enjoying this pack for many months to come.
Thanks again, so much.
