Woohoo, it works! They always have to make things so complicated... Keep up the fantastic work! Somewhat inspired to make my own music pack for MC, despite my rather different style in music hehe.
Just wondering what the difference is between "No hurt" and "Original". For someone downloading the pack for the first time (me) I don't really know what this means...

Original contains all the sounds, while the no hurt version doesn't contain animal hurt/death sounds.

GOD BLESS! Happy Thanksgiving (October and November) and God bless you RICHLY this year for Christmas and New Year's Eve! I might myself even be a PART of next year!
Now it is time to let you know...I will NOT be supporting Mo' Creatures. DrZhark has dropped communications with me. Anyway...I WILL be now working on a visual texture pack for all versions of Minecraft...with **full** FTB MOD support!!!!! WHEW!
Very Good pack, well done, but, i have a problem, the Wither boss music doesnt start, i saw it inside the zip, its called spawn, very good by the way, but, how do i get it to start? thank you
Wither boss music does start, but it fades away after like 10 or 5 seconds...
very good music, but i have to say some things about the sounds though:
1: glass breaking and that sort of sounds end too quickly
2: Ghast hide and seek sounds need improvement
Wither Boss Spawn Music is set to the spawn point itself because no boss music hook was actually added. It's spawn and death have music attached as long, streamed sound FX...these are tentative in the current sound pack revamp. The best way to get them to start, and I hate this, is to go into Creative mode, manually play those sounds with a console command.

Yeah that's the fault of the game code. There's not actually a Wither Boss music hook...I am trying to trick it with a long spawn sound and long death sound to sneak some epic music into the game. The glass-break sound is used for all forms of fragile breakage...ice, clay pots, everything. It's a middle-ground sound, less strident and more like china than flimsy glass. All things considered, have you ever tried to break one of those old settler windows? WOW! It's like chipping into porcelain.
Of course! EVERYONE can! Check page one for the release statement and spread the love!

Thanks for replying to me, i have a question, you record some of the sounds? or you make them by scratch? and, by the way, the original sound for flint and steel is more realistic, because you are not really making a fire everytime you use them, like when you make a rock crash with another rock, and... is there a way to make the enderman make sounds less frequently? its very annoying since if you are inside a cave and a enderman is nearby, you just keep hearing him every 2 seconds, just wanted to tell you that, i will keep looking for things that need improvement or could be better, this pack is a very good oe and i really want it to be even better, if you dont understand anything or think this text looks odd, sorry, im still learning english...
This is awesome. Nice to use, especially on top of a good texture pack.
One thing though..I'm not a big fan of the dirt placing/breaking sound. It's really loud and sudden compared to some of the other sounds. It wouldn't be a big deal, but when you're digging up a lot of dirt, it gets kind of annoying to hear..
I think part of the problem, is that some sounds like stone/cobble are softer, not as sudden, and quieter. But some other sounds, are louder, and more sudden. Even Sand is a bit loud. The audio levels aren't really even.
Wool breaking/placing sounds a bit weird too, and gets cut off. While that may be an issue with the game cutting the sound off too early, it seems like a thing you'd have to work around to get the sound to actually sound good.
Glass breaking sounds a bit muffled too, compared to other sounds.
Sn0w, can i make a request?, i know you're busy, but i wanted to see if you could make a regular boss music for map makers and boring bosses, because, with the new command /summon, you can make all sorts of new things, and one of those things is the Slime boss... if you make a giant slime then he can kill you with only two hits, even if you are wearing complete iron armor, if you dont believe me, try it yourself, it's very fun since it's a difficult fight, and if you do make a 64 block size slime, when you kill it, you'll have to kill a lot more slimes to win...
Here is the command: /summon Slime z x y {Size: 16}
Don't make the Slime too big because it will lag your game a LOT!
Note: the size has to be like this: 1,2,4,8,16,32,64,128 and so on, thanks for reading!
also, do you know how to make the player the center of the sound when using the /playsound command? if not, don't worry.

Please understand that variation was essential to versions of Minecraft prior to the sound re-vamp in 1.7.x. I am releasing SnowSong 1.3 today to attempt to fix all of the normalization issues for version 1.7.x. MOST of the sounds are already perfectly balanced, but the egregious ones from the earlier versions that had required specific volume and EQ tweaks to compensate for variegated usage must be un-done. I am working alone here with over 800 sound FX across 5 versions of a single game to keep everyone happy. Please forgive any discrepancies.
As I have always said, no project is ever truly "finished"...just perceived to be complete from time to time.

I can only add sounds for which there are already hooks. I am not making a MOD to add additional sounds, only replacing ALL of the music and sounds through a ResourcePack. If you want to make a way for me to create a boss music mod, by all means, hand it over!
No, I understand. I wasn't trying to sound like I was complaining or anything. It's still really good. I just don't like replying with something boring and useless like "it looks good thanks". No pack is perfect, so I try to point out some criticism so my comment is at least useful in some way.

I'll wait for it. This was for me too a difficulty I had with this sound pack and the reason I had to abandon it. I seem to remember also disliking the dirt related sounds on top of the normalization issues. But this may have been the result of my bias. Besides you wouldn't be able to do anything about that.
