I think your Enderman sound effects are obnoxious. What if you replaced the enderman sounds with something like this? (Perhaps whispering for the normal sounds, and the creepy ambient music for entermanstare?)
Perhaps they don't affect me because I already know that the cave sounds don't really mean anything except darkness nearby. So the short ambient noises in the vanilla game have more of an affect on me than the drawn out sound effects.
I've been using your sound pack for awhile now. I forgot how Ghast sounded and sent my boyfriend into the Nether. It scared him so much. We both love the Ghast sound the most
Obnoxious is a brutal word. But thank you for sharing your thoughts on the sounds. My interpretation of the Enderman was to give it a sound like pressing air through obsidian, along with teleportation sound. I see where the brief cut sounds and the whispered english words would make for a Slenderman feel, but I went with sounds of psychosis instead.
The final version is 1.5a and is available also on curseforge. There's TONS of music addons, where I am essentially giving away my entire life of musical composition for the joy of Mincrafters.
Be sure to get the latest version. I really improved a lot of the sounds, like the thunder effects are much less "blasting". Wyldstein on Twitch.tv cannot play in the nether with this sound pack as the Ghast sound terrify him. Get ALL my download and have fun!
I'm fairly new to the Minecraft Forums and to this resource pack. It looks as though it is absolutely splendid, but I've been having some trouble getting it to work. It might be that my computer simply can't handle a full conversion pack, but I thought that I might as well try to see if I can resolve the issue before I spend all my time, effort, and money on getting a computer with more memory.
I can load up the game just fine as I would any other time. It's loading the resource pack that's a problem. The first time I tried loading it to the game, the entire game crashed. I re-opened the game and tried loading it again. It sat there for a while, and, after a few minutes, went back to the options menu but with the default pack. Just to make sure, I went back to the resource packs, and it sure enough was not loaded. I tried loading it several times with the same result. Is there anything you might suggest? Could I have installed it incorrectly?
Anyway, as I said before, I'm sure it's just my computer's lack of ability to handle a full conversion. I just wanted to know if that was the only possible problem. It can't hurt to ask, can it?
It is quite unfortunate, and I was really looking forward to trying it out. However, I did finally just try downloading SnowSong, the version with JUST the sounds, and it has worked so far. Unfortunately, the game becomes rather laggy. It's better than nothing, though, I suppose, and the sounds I've heard so far are simply splendid and almost worth a little lag with a nice, semi-realistic and darker themed texture pack if for nothing else than to experience it (default texture is still a bit slow, but slightly faster than texture packs). Though Minecraft+SnowSong may not be the best speed on my computer, I still get chills each time I hear something new from SnowSong.

Whenever I try to add your soundpack, it freezes for a few seconds and then gives up. Any idea what's happening here? I upgraded to version 1.8.8 and no dice. What's going on and why can't the pack get added?
Ugh, Damn it MC QUIT Crashing on me! I want to use this pack so badly!
Well... maybe I'll try the all 7 downloads button.. that might help
An hour download... I hope it's worth the stuggle
Well.. it kinda works? I see it my game, but.. when I try to use it there is about a 25 second pause then it goes back to the options menu, but it didn't get pushed over to the selected resource packs, it's still in the Available section
Any ideas on how to make this work?
This pack sounds amazing! I love the Nether so much now lol
Can You Please Upload a Version With Just The Sounds? i'm Only Asking This Because Whenever I Try To Remove Everything Else My Windows Explorer Ends Up Being Forced To Restart.
There will be inclusion of all the new sounds especially.
I have been working on this pack all along all by myself, so please be patient. The project is far from dead and is soon to get a boat load of improvements released.

Where is the original version with hurt sounds?

I love your pack! My favorite part is your own music and I love your playing! ^.^
Serious kudos.
You've basically changed the entire game just by re-working the sound. The ambient noises, especially, are on a whole new level.
Looking forward to more in the future

Are any of these songs copyrighted? I don't want to use this pack unless I won't get claimed on YouTube...

A+ because now ghasts are a little bit more terrifying.
And I'm trying to capture one!
And the Pig's battle call is way more... frightening.
Awesome! Is there any chance to add in 1.8 mobs? I think you'd have some really creative sounds for Guardians!
