I have to say, I can tell you put a lot of work into this resource pack! I really enjoy it, and I hope others will start to take notice. This is something that really gives Minecraft a sort of "grown-up" feel, and it gives the game a completely different ambiance!
That is a very good point. Honestly, many people grew up playing Minecraft! In a way, Sn0wSong helps Minecraft grow right alongside those people who'd like to use such a change to remain engaged by the game.
I have created a new Sn0wsong following banner if you'd like to update. I WILL be providing full sound support for 1.8.x. I was waiting for the new release before making any major additions or changes, so that it would be less cumbersome to release a new version. Thank you for the information on the .json file, as well. I do intend to update Sn0wSong to the fullest of Minecraft's sound integrity. I will also be including some new, optional music tracks for people hungry for a more Elysian / Hollywood feel (mega-epic music sound).
Mod Support is also planned for MANY Mods already for Sn0wSong. I am still just one little cripple girl doing all of this, and I've been embroiled in completing my Texture Pack to release it fully 200% complete both audibly through Sn0wSong update and visually by its own rights. The Texture Pack Sn0wZ0ne already offers 100s of textures of support for about 12 Mods, and a ton more coming should I live through my terminal illness long enough to complete the works.
I recommend you get Sn0wSong 1.45. Lots of fixes, much-improved dirt sound, even better glass, zombie sound improved balancing, etc.
Also, my TEXTURE PACK is insanely better than what you are using.
The fire effects and fireworks will blow your mind.

HALP!!!!!!! I can't find the sounds in the new 1.8 version of Minecraft Pre-Release 3!!! Where have the hidden them! HALP! I has to get the updates to all the peoples and loves everyone!
xD The sound files for 1.8 are scattered randomly all around the assets/objects folder, however the resource pack format hasn't changed a bit since 1.7 (except for the new mob sounds).

I love this pack so much,and I have one question: Will your songs ever be titled in-game? Or did you create them just for the pack? They are really good.
Hi Snow! how are ya? since 1.8 came out a month ago... i thought i would take a look here :), also, since microsoft bought mojang... what about some techno music? just kidding :B, i would love being able to add biome-specific music.. that way we'd have music for the water temple! i'm so excited to see what you've done recently!
WHY does Mojang confuse the sound files EVERY update?! They are trying to kill me off!

I've been hesitant to commit with all the "interior redecoration" taking place inside their ... well, structure. I haven't seen a single good reference so far; people just throw things into a folder in something of a trial-and-error basis.
Perhaps the acquisition by Microsoft will have an impact on the professionalism of things on this end ... for us, well ... we can hope, right?
While I was playing Team Fortress 2 and other Steam games, I always listened to an online classical radio. With Minecraft 1.8 ceaselessly spewing junk music at me, I never played with sound.
Until I got this pack.
I had already used it on 1.7, and loved it. But now I love it more. 1.8, I no longer hate your need to play music endlessly, because NOW IT'S GOOD MUSIC.
In short, I want to say thanks to Sn0w for constructing such an amazing work of art! This is more than a resource pack. This is love. This is life. This is me typing at 2 am in the morning. Just sayin'.
UPDATE: I just visited the nether. Scariest sound pack ever? XD
So what I wanted to ask was if it was possible to get a beautiful guitar song that was on the 1.2 version.
