I downloaded the new launcher for minecraft and when I opened it up I found that all of my texture packs were not listed and optifine did not work. They still appear in my .minecraft folder, just are not functioning properly. Do I have to redownload anything or change it in any way to play with these features?
Since 1.6 Minecraft no longer uses the bin folder, so your old jar is no longer in use. Bcausse of this you can't use Optifine anymore until you install it for 1.6.2, and texture packs are now called resource packs. They need to be updated and put in the <version number> folder.
Thanks for helping. Is there a way to turn the texture packs into resource packs or must I wait for the creator to update his/her pack?
