EDIT: it said it was a "Roofed Forest" biome.. then i went exploring the newly generated terrain with the pack and even in the plains biome the grass was still did not look beta
Try this. I only changed the top of the grass. It needs a little work, but its kinda close. BETA GRASS TEST
Try to take the pictures in a forest or plains biome. The Roofed Forest has much darker grass.
I'm just testing the top of the grass to start then I will convert everything in the same way. That's why I didn't do the leaves yet.

the grass tops seem to look the same for each biome.. thats a good thing! in the beta versions of minecraft there was one color of grass... you're on the right track just the color needs a bit of tweaking and adjustments

I'm sorry for the recent delay, I know I had said that I'd work on it a few days ago, but I've been waiting for developments on the Microsoft Mojang rumors that have been going around. If you haven't heard the news, Mojang was just bought by Microsoft for 2.5 billion dollars. Mojang's article is here: https://mojang.com/2014/09/yes-were-being-bought-by-microsoft/
Now I am going to continue to wait, until I know more about what Microsoft will be changing (HOPEFULLY NOT MUCH!!!) about Minecraft and especially with resource packs so that I know whether I should continue on this project. I hope Microsoft will be able to preserve the spirit of minecraft and us all happy.

So, I've been reading a bit, it seems Microsoft doesn't plan on changing Minecraft; I think they just bought it because of it's sales, and they're not changing stuff.

Nicely done. I'm making a resource pack myself that has old sounds and textures. I'm calling it RubyDung, based on Notch's old and forgotten game. But the are a few sounds I can't find, for instance I need the old TNT and Creeper exploding sounds but I can't find 'em anywhere. Can you help? I'll appreciate it very much. It's not up for download yet but, I do need some help.
Is there a way for me to make it to where only the cobblestone is in the Alpha texture? My favorite thing about Alpha, and I'm not a huge fan of the Neon Grass...
I will see what I can do for you guys, I'm not much of an artist so I don't think I can really make a 32x32 cobble that looks like the old one or anything, but if you just want a pack that has like 16x16 old cobble and some of faithful's textures and the old sounds or something, just let me know exactly what you want. I am also gonna try to make a version with darker grass, maybe like jungle grass or something. The leaves will stay the same because they are beautiful
Personally i love the neon green grass, but the missing original mineral block textures make me give this pack only a 8.5/10. I loved them back in classic but since classic is basically dead this is the next best thing
