"Step into Tallon IV all over again, but with a dash of Minecraft."
HI! Today I bring you a Metroid Prime GUI Resourcepack! It was my little project to kill time and I wanted to share it with the Minecraft community! The GUI's are supposed to resemble the Start Menu, Inventory and ship cockpit in the Metroid Prime series, so sorry if it doesn't look good; I tried my best! This Resourcepack allows you to have any game textures that you desire along with these awesome interfaces, so get customizing! (eg. Faithful game textures with MP GUI)
Make sure to wear a pumpkin on your character's head to be able to use the Samus HUD!
I created the textures for all the GUI's (Crafting menu, etc) but DIDN'T create the Samus HUD. Credit goes to Nintendo of course, but to the user darkrain44 for actually setting it up for Minecraft (That is if I have my sources correct and he is the original one). The text font, as well, was (re)created by AirHead3.0 on DaFont and I recreated his (re)creation, so thanks to him, too. Other than that, the textures are Vanilla Minecraft for the majority of everything else.
Language file [Manual download; Already comes with each resourcepack; For all MC versions]: https://www.mediafir...n9dp8x8w7bvn3rk (^Place in the file location: Appdata/Roaming/.minecraft/assets/lang , then select the "MP Resourcepack (US)" language from the language selection menu in-game)
Make sure to unzip the resourcepacks! And be sure to read the Readme for customization instructions!
-12/2/13: Sneak peak of the 32x32 resourcepack in the downloads section! (At least I think it's 32x32 and not 64x64!) -11/22/13: Important update(s)! The language file has been fixed to where all interface text is removed! Either download and replace your current MP resourcepack or download the standalone "en_MP" language file to replace the old one. Notice: Villager interface text isn't removed because it's also removed from the spawner egg's item name so looks like "Spawn ".
(Not every GUI is displayed; 16x16 shown; language file is active; Horse GUI text isn't removeable)
-Take the current poll (Which takes about a minute I might add) to give me feedback so I can improve the resourcepack!
Last poll's results: "No! They [The black outline around the GUIs] fit the design!" (2 votes)
Super Secret Project Video:
Any problems with the Resourcepacks or want to make a recommendation? Please make sure to send me a message!
Please keep in mind that I am an amateur at making Resourcepacks and pixel art.
(I'll try to update it when the latest version of Minecraft comes out. That doesn't include Snapshots.)

Idea: change pumpkin texture to have more like a futuristic feel.
Thank you for checking it out, but, I'm pretty sure if I change the texture of the Pumpkin to make it look like Samus's helmet or something futuristic, then it's going to change the look of its texture while it's placed somewhere on the ground. If it doesn't change then I'll look into it.
EDIT: I looked into it and the texture of the pumpkin while placed and on your head use the same texture file so that is an issue. If I come up with any ideas, I'll be sure to test them out.
Hey can you make a dropbox, auto download, or another hosting site? I have some big troubles with mediafire! There is a ongoing bug that ain't allowin' me some metroid! D': . Pm me if you do so!

It's Amazing *w*, you should add the charge beam sounds to the bow (and maybe changing its texture to the cannon that samus has on her hand *w*) Also changing the pumpkin into samus helmet (pleaaase, it would be great!!)

About the sounds, maybe... even though I tried to stick to the GUI aspect. I've already gone through the dilemma of changing the Pumpkin texture. (See thread: http://www.minecraft...e-placed-block/) A couple of modders are discussing it and we're seeing what we can do. The thing is, if I change the texture of the Pumpkin of course it will look perfect on your face, but when it's placed, it will look like the helmet, and pumplins in the wild looking like helmets aren't the greatest.

You must have done something incorrectly. Did you look at the path I've listed? It's working for me!
Yes. Ive placed the language file RIGHT THERE in the lang folder. It is not working for me.

OK, I'll see what I can do. Now that I am back in school I don't have as much time to work on the Resourcepack, but, I'll still work on it every so often. I already tried recreating the language file with the new coding they come in but the coding has some issues that I'm trying to work around.
One more suggestion, if you try to switch to the language file through the language selection menu and you're NOT currently using my resourcepack while switching languages, then it won't appear; you must have the resourcepack active for it to appear.

Hahaha, thats pretty true, well if u could do it, it would be great

Middle ground: Pumpkin carved to look like Samus's helmet. (Pumpkins already grow carved anyway, so it doesn't make any less sense).

Good idea, although I've already tried this and experimented with it but ran into some issues, as well. The problem with this method is that since the files are so small (Keep in mind that they're either 8x8 or 16x16 PIXELS in dimension) that it's hard to make out it what it is. I've tried just taking the visor area of a Samus skin and placing it on the front of the pumpkin (Of course making it feathered in) but it looked odd. Then I tried taking the same colors of the parts of the pumpkin that are carved then overlayed the same skin and traced a carving into the pumpkin but that was even harder to make out.
So in the end I think I'm just going to keep it as it is (The screw attack symbol) since it resembles a power-up.
Thanks for your input.

The Resourcepack only provides GUI reskins. Everything else is up to you!
