An update for Minecraft 1.8. Prevents some blocks in MC 1.8 from ignoring Lithos:Luminous textures for some blocks that have random alternates. Also replicates the random textures previously only available with MCPatcher with the block-model features of MC 1.8. Also adds random texture for Red Sand.
Is this pack able to be stacked with Dokucraft, TSC? I want to shift from Doku to Lithos, mainly for the awesome glass testures (which I can't see yet because of Optifine not being updated yet ). Should I stack Lithos core above Doku in order to get Lithos as the main resource pack?

You can stack Lithos:Core with anything-- though depending on what Connected texture or 1.8 Block Model features it uses there may be some oddities. The best way to find out is to try it.
Lithos is almost complete, so if you stack it above Doku (or whatever), all you'll see of the other pack is fire, some mobs, sounds, and mod support (if the other pack has these things).
If there is one criticism I have, it is that there seems to be a dire inconsistency with your leaves.... Why is the birch leaves semi-transparent while the leaves appear completely oblique? Was that a style choice or something?

Um, what you are describing doesn't sound like what i see in game. Can you provide a screenshot? There may be a weird bug...
Hmm... I think the reason why it happened was because I was using 1.8 resource pack in 1.7.10, it appears fixed now.
*when you switch to the correct version.

Lithos:Core is supposed to be backwards comparable up to version 1.6.x. In 1.7.x, I'm still not seeing what you are describing. If you can reproduce it, please let me know exactly how you got that issue.
The Minecraft community in general isn't about "respecting and caring" either. It largely consists of narcissistic children who disregard those other than themselves and like to spout anger, abuse, troll and flame. It is also why any competent multiplayer builder either owns a private server or one where build allowance requires in-depth vetting. If Minecraft was about "respecting and caring" these measures would clearly not be necessary.
For full disclosure: I've taken over the pack Visibility, as kyctarniq, long time custodian of many packs, feels the need to simplify his life. This doesn't mean i'm giving up on Lithos-- far from it, Lithos is still my main pack. Visibility is an enjoyable sideline. But I'll probably be focusing on it until i get it updated to 1.8.
I'm not up on optifine dev for 1.8, but since the leaves work fine in 1.8, without optifine, I'd say it is clearly a bug with optifine. I shouldn't need fancy files unless I'm doing something more than vanilla.

It'll be an issue with the texture pack then. It may be either outdated, or the texture may just not have a fancy option. You can go into the .zip file of the texture pack and check to see if it has both a leaf+alpha channel texture and a leaf+background texture.
Sorry, but your source is behind the times. He's describing how things worked before 1.8. But mojang changed it, and now there is only one file for leaves thats used.
i've asked, and you haven't told me that the leaves are glitches without Optifine. If this is true,( as it is in my experience) then since they only are glitched when using Optifine, then it is an optifine bug.

Can't you read? I said I only play PC Minecraft

Are you going to consider adding support for Metallurgy 4? With your Universal Ore Color scheme, it shouldn't take all that long to texture the actual ores or bars.

Oops-- I meant to change that. I guess I forgot about it.

Unacceptable.
I hope "ell-ee-aye-zar" is the right pronunciation, because that's the one I used.
Little rambly, I don't have a proper test world set up, and I only covered the points I liked the best... but it's something.
EDIT: Okay, there's beds, fence gates, bookshelves... what else should a more proper video cover?
