It took me more than a little time to get it working.
In short i made two textures, both with the highlights on the left, one with the handle on the left, one on the right.
I removed all the instances of texture mirroring, and used different textures for the front and back of the doors.
I switched them on the right-hand model variant.

I do, however, have one question, and I am aware how dumb it likely is. What shader is being used in those screenshots in the main post? I have scoured the topic and haven't seen it mentioned at all.
I have been out of the Minecraft mod scene for about a 2 years, and everything has changed quite a bit. I don't even know if things like McPatcher, or Optifine or whatever are used anymore. But hey, at least I figured out how to use the resource packs. They weren't there last I really messed with the game.

I don't actually know. I can't run shaders at that level-- a few helpful people took those shots for me.

Oh, ok then. I thought maybe it was a feature in one of the packs you have. That's cool though. Actually, now that I think about it, I don't know if I can run shaders like that either. >_>
Do you have any mods that you highly recommend? I saw the list of compatible mods, but I was wondering if there are any you have personal preference to. Thanks again.

I like Thaumcraft a lot-- though it takes quite a bit of work to get up to speed with it. At the moment, i'm using the CrackPack, which has almost all the mods i care about, and almost all the mods that Lithos supports.
I wanted to get some feedback on the new doors and wood style's i've been experimenting with so here you go. I haven't applied the 3D styling, or new textures consistently to all the kinds of planks, doors and fences, so you don't need to point out unchanged stuff. I'm having issues with uploading again, so for now, you can just get this version from the> add-supported download here. < EDIT: Now also available from the front page and curse.
Changelog:
New 3D doors: All Woods types and Iron
New Birch, Dark Oak, Oak, and Jungle Planks, with Randomized Textures
The Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything.

I like those old door textures better than these new. And also, the new fence is not looking that wooden as the normal one... Other than that, awesome resource pack, I love it!
Sorry, i strongly disagree. The classic oak fence has a texture applied with no concern for the shape of the posts. You don't make fence posts out of a bunch of little pieces of wood stuck together-- it's not practical. And from an aesthetic side i think the default fence is too busy and ugly. I'm not saying mine is perfect-- but anything i do will look quite a bit different from the default fence.
I've run into a small issue. Fire just shows up as a broken texture, so whenever anything is burning I get big ugly pink and black squares. It's actually kind of funny to have burning zombies chasing after me now.

I had that issue a while ago, but I had thought it didn't get into any release-- obviously i was wrong. If you try the latest Lithos:Core 1.7-Y I think you will find fire works as expected. If not let me know and provide details...

But in the main post you wrote, that the pack is faithful... Why not put this into the luminous add-on? And also the new oak door?

I describe my pack as "mostly faithful". Many blocks have similar slight differences from default.
But to go into more detail, here are the driving goals of Lithos:Core...
Obviousness, Consistency, Beauty
Everything should be instantly recognisable to those familiar with default textures, or with the things in real life.
Construction blocks should be very similar in color and brightness to default blocks, so color-schemes work the same way in default and Lithos.
Each texture should be as appealing as possible, while the whole pack has a consistent style.
My new fences are of the same color, and still instantly recognizable as fences. And in my opinion much more appealing than the default, so that's the kind of change i keep.
As for the new 3D oak door, i'm not sure that i like it. However, i think it is clearly more faithful than the previous oak door-- compare all three, the 3D door more closely matches the shapes of the vanilla door. But it is likely i'll change it.
I'm having an issue with the alternate blocks. The only ones that are appearing are the bookshelf and ladders. I'm not sure what's wrong?
What version of Lithos:Core are you using? Probably it is an older version, since those two were the first 3D things i added. Lithos 1.7-Y, is the latest version, and has everything you've seen in any of my screenshots.
And under "Video Settings", is "Alternate Blocks" set to "On"? It should be.

I am using the most recent version. Alternate blocks are on as well. I'm playing on 1.8 pre 3.
