I'm going for something that has practical protective value, but also doesn't totally cove up the player's skin. I think Iron and Diamond will cover more.
That armor is good enough for me, too. Still, i have a suggestion. If the armor is made of, for example, gold, don't add any emerald/iron/diamond parts on it. Its unlogical, at least for me.

How do you make a crafting table complete with (Metal) tools, from nothing but your bare hands and a log you turned into planks with your bare hands.
That you punched out of a tree that proceeds to defy physics in a world where explosive sentient suicide shrubs reside.
Its a game not everything has to be exactly to the materials, pretty sure that lock and hinge on the vanilla chest is metal, no metal in the recipe though.
Leather armor probably needs string for thread none of that in the recipe.
It may be also due to vanilla armor being a one-material armor. Still...
You are one of those people, I see. I gave my opinion and somehow you turned this on a "minecraft =/= logic" discussion.

I've been wanting to make 3d mushrooms for a long time
As for the armor, my iron armor already has leather straps on it. Personally i consider the recipes more as symbolic. But iron armor will mostly be iron because I want things to be easy to identify.

I guess that works. At least it isn't a iron armor with a diamond on top of it (Another Sphax reference... derp :p).
Keep the great work. I'm looking forward to that update.

I was wondering if you can optimize this this texture pack to be more compatible w/ the Better Foliage mod. It works, and it looks good, but there are some visual oddities caused by your textures and how the mod reflects them. Also cactus plain just doesn't work (you can turn off the cactus thorns in the mods ingame config, but it would be nice to have thorny cactus)

I supported "Better Leaves and Grass" until it stopped updating, and since Better Foliage seems to be the successor, it is likely a good fit for Lithos.
However, i haven't looked at how it does thing yet.
But, at the moment, my priorities are 1.8 stuff and armor.
I was a bit disappointed when you said that the armors were going to have leather parts, but now when i see it, it's way better than i expected. Amazing job, like always.
Edit: Oh. I thought that "Alternate Blocks" option only automatically rotated natural blocks. So it's like a "Connected Textures" in vanilla, i suppose ? (Without the option to connect textures, of course).

I don't think rotated "natural" textures look good with Lithos. I think i only left it on for sand.
To keep things from looking too repetitive, I've made a lot of alternate textures for things like stones, dirt, gravel, and some types of trees. In the past you could only see these if you had MCPatcher or Optifine, but Mojang's new block model format, allows me to include those alternate texture with the recent snapshots.
The option simply determines if Minecraft will show any alternate block textures or shapes, as defined by the texture pack. I recommend leaving it "ON" for Lithos.

Curse PremiumMmmmm... I like that concept. Please work on it.

Thank you for the correction. I mean "illogical" ...uh... "logic wise".
How do you even make a iron armor with leather if you don't use leather on the recipe ?

Curse PremiumHmm, i originally made the mushrooms much bigger so that they could be seen in the inventory. I just kept that size out of habit. I'll look at it.
