This is really nice! I probably wouldn't use this, and a lot of the textures hurt my eyes. but that's just me not being one for Super Mario Bros' art style.
I'm going to say; thank you very much for using my sprite rips. The texture pack is quite nice-looking and I'm using it right now.
Since it's not finished ATM, I'd like to supply you with this.
Every tile from SMB1 with every palette possible. You could use this to complete the Birch trees and wood, the tops of Jungle and Spurce wood, lily pads, Glow Stones, Soul Sand, plus any other textures that haven't been edited, or change the already edited textures based on SMB2 (preferably the Netherrack and Nether Quartz) into something from SMB1.

One other thing I'd recommend is changing the texture of string (which you made into a faceless goomba) back to what it was, but alter the colors so it only uses two colors (white and grey).

I made the string look like that because the spiders are goombas, but I agree with you, as having string being a goomba without eyes is just weird.
if you can make such a good resource pack you can make a mod please make a mod
*sigh*
While I may be quite capable of doing textures, I have no programming ability whatsoever. There are already Mario mods, like this one: http://www.minecraft...page__hl__mario
Wow, again, thankyou.
Some of these are very similar to what I have planned for the next update (the soul sand is almost identical), but others I have done which I think look a lot better.
I quite like the web though, and I was stumped as to what I could do. Thanks!
PS. with the sprite sheets, do they all follow the NES palette? Because I usually recolour them before use, as they never match up to the many identical palettes that I have found (Google Images is very helpful).

Yes, they all use the default NES palette, specially as it is shown in Nestopia.
For the clouds, I'd prefer all of them to have the blue shading, rather than some using red.
AAAAAAAAAAAARRGH IM SO ANGRY
I had a new update ready with heaps of newtextures, as well as plenty of fixes to old ones, and then I accidently DELETED THE ZIP FILE.
I'm currently trying not to cry :,C

What is Nestopia? www.Nestopia.com is some architecture website, nothing to do with the NES. And even wikipedia and the NES palette [texture pack] challenge use the same palette that I do, but a different one to you.

Google it.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nestopia
Nestopia is an open source NES/Famicom emulator designed to emulate the NES hardware as ...
+Added horse armor and items
+Added end portal frame
+Added soul sand
+Added light detector
+Made the end sky blue, although it is hard to notice because the game automatically makes it very dark, so it still looks black
+Probably some other stuff that I forgot
*Recoloured quartz
*New saplings
*New chiselled sandstone
*New string
*New jungle logs
*New log tops (different per log)
*Recoloured birch planks
*Recoloured spruce logs
*Recoloured chainmail armor
*Recoloured red clouds to blue
*Made transperent parts on end stone blue
*Centred mouths on cow, mooshroom and leather helmet overlay
*Recoloured wooden items slightly (hardly noticeable)
NOTE: The spruce leaves are meant to be white (As shown in sapling), but for some reason the colourmap doesn't work.
You can find the deleted file in the trash/recycle bin on your computer, if you haven't emptied it yet.
No; I play Minecraft and make textures on different computers, and what keeps happening is that I keep overiding the new pack saved on the USB with the old pack on the computer accidently, rather than vice versa.

Well, Nestopia has an incorrect palette.

*The top of the hay bale needs to be recolored into the brown hue
*The Eye of Ender graphic in menus should be updated to match the in-game Eye of Ender.
*Underside of the larger bubbles could be made cyan instead of red.
*Melons should have new graphics rather than those of Buzzy Beetles. Take the vanilla Melon and just reduce it to three colors; that's the strategy for making anything in Minecraft into something an NES would display.
*When in your inventory, the arrows on the sings could be removed.
*When defeated, Flying Bowser's wings display.
*Redstone torches would be red-colored Coins.
*Note Blocks could be the literal note blocks from SMB3.
*Daylight Sensor is assembled incorrectly.
*This could be used for splash potions:
EDIT: Forgot to make the potion animated...

Okay, I've taken those into account, and updated.
+Added xp collection sound
+Added raw and cooked chicken
*Changed chicken to buzzy beetle (melon isn't anymore)
*Did everything that SuperJustinBros mentioned
EDIT: ...except for the sign thing, which I forgot. I only have arrows on the sign to make it more recognisable.
There's a bug with the language pack. Open a chest, furnace, or pretty much any other inventory. Between the chest slots and your inventory slots, there's some weird label. I think it's "inventory.hopper=17359..." or something like that.
Yes, the palette of the NES is very bright.
Huh. I didn't notice that, but I'm not sure that changelogs count.
But a very nice pack here dude.
Also BangBang, you'd not like my thread... I have sextuple posts... Hell I think a whole page are mine XD

I also got this; you could change some of the items and other stuff that haven't been edited.
