Super Minio Bros is a nostalgic texture pack based on the great old games that kick-started Mario' career. Most of the textures are from Super Mario Bros, but some are from Super Mario Bros 2, 3, and a miniscule amount from Super Mario World.Enjoy!
The following names are those of people who submitted spites on The Spriter's Resource, which I then used to make this texture pack: Superjustinbros
A.J.Nitro
Drshnaps
Yawackhary
Fleepa
Sonikku
Gold: A strict level of security. Having this on your pack indicates that your textures can only be used after written permission is obtained from the creator of the pack. It also indicates that adfly links on remixes are never acceptable, under any circumstances.
Oh, and feel free to hit that little green box with a ↑ on it :3e
Really?
Because I can't find any good ones anywhere that are for 1.5+, and that are based on the first games. I acknowledge that this is no original idea, but I believe that this is the most complete NES Mario texture pack that there is.
BTW I don't like Comic Sans, the font in your signature.
As said before these have been done a lot, but yeah you have done a good job, i feel like some parts are a little flat and needed shading like the mobs and armor. You can still shade and still keep true to the mario theme
Thanks for the compliment! As for shading, I too noticed that some mobs do seem a bit plain (like the koopa zombie), but as this is based upon NES games in which shading was a futuristic dream, I am sorry, but no.
I can definitely appreciate the mob texturing and I love your choices when replacing several other elements (such as explosions with the firework graphic and the pumpkin vision with a ? block). Great work!
Wow, thanks for the support! Actually, you just reminded me that the pumpkin view looks like that! In an older version that I didn't upload, the pmupkins were just ? blocks, so that view made sense, but now, not so much. I am not so sure if it should be changed, as I want to change it, but I also like it (as do you :D). What should I do?
I don't see what the problem is with this being done before. This is actually the first I've seen that is of any quality, considering the type. I like the mobs on this one especially, but I would suggest adding CTm to make the bottoms and tops of leaf blocks look more consistent with the sides. On that note, it would also add to it a lot to add some different types of CTm to make the bricks end properly, etc.

Thanks for the support! I agree with your suggestion of CTM on the leaves, but I'm not exactly an expert, and I have no idea of how to do it. As for the bricks, though, in the original game they actually appear like that (it was on an NES, not exactly the most powerful console), so I won't change them.
Updated for 1.6.2! Sorry about the long wait.
+Added all horse (no donkeys or mules. Sorry :C)
+Added coal block
+Added hay
+Added language (Only US at the moment)
+Added Stained Clay
*Changed coal palette
AAAAAAAAAAAARRGH IM SO ANGRY
I had a new update ready with heaps of newtextures, as well as plenty of fixes to old ones, and then I accidently DELETED THE ZIP FILE.
I'm currently trying not to cry :,C
I wish I could delete my post above, I feel ashamed for my anger.
Anyway, I re-did everything that I lost, and updated!
+Added mule and donkey (more Yoshi, Mario doesn't have much friends)
+Added witch (Kamek)
+Added splashes
*Changed pig to SMB3 goomba
*Changed cow and mooshroom to shyguys
*Editted language
*Changed moons to actual moons
*Changed pumkin blur (I know the backwards '?' was good, but it didn't make sense)
*Changed colouring of black and grey horses slightly
That is because I have not done them the way that you are meant to in 1.6.2. Don't worry, I'm working on fixing them...
Thankyou. But how is it glitchy?
EDIT: Yay two pages
Mouse over the spawn eggs in the creative inventory.
Just noticed, the fire texture is a bit glitchy too.
Edit: the crafting table appears to have a broken name, too.
Have you fixed the language and animation glitches yet?
I have fixed the animations, but I am working on fixing other things too, like armor (you can't have multiple layers on the same armor in 1.6 :C). I will probably update the download later today (or tonight, depending on your timezone).
This is really nice! I probably wouldn't use this, and a lot of the textures hurt my eyes. but that's just me not being one for Super Mario Bros' art style.

Animations are very difficult in 1.6.2...
