"The Australian Outback. A place fraught with danger, with wonder, with excitement. How long will you survive, baked on the sands of the new world? Hunt on the boundless plains for wildlife, Build a shelter to save you from the sun, or explore the ancient caves and villages of the natives. Just don't let it all go to your head..."
The Red Centre is a landscape-texture pack which is supposed to portray Outback Australia, a place where I spent a few of my years living. This pack will be in 32 x 32 resolution, which is the default of what i always use. Most of the pack will have a very light, simple-tone to it, with grass being light and the sand very scorched and orange. I am deciding to experiment more with this pack, and seeing everything Photoshop can do.
This texture pack features my updated styles from the American Revolution, using more adjustments, tones and color enhancements, including the Film Grain feature in Photoshop.
This texture pack was released on the 4th of May. It is not fully completed, and over the next few weeks i will update it and finish it. A few more mobs and items need to be fixed, as well as a language file. This pack works well with the built-in Australian English, but i will include a different file shortly.
Planned Expansions: I am planning on expanding the pack further with an Add-on, called The Drought. The texture pack will transform the entire landscape to be barren, desolate desert. Sand and Dirt will be indistinguishable from each other, which will make it feel as if you're trapped in the desert. Grass is virtually non-existent. The rain texture will be scaled back slightly.
You may only use this texture pack for personal purposes. You cannot distribute this as your own work in any way, shape or form.

This pack requires the MC Patcher/Optifine.
Works better with Australian English (Pre-loaded MinecraftLanguage).
A lot of the blocks are just flat noise, with no shape or real shading. It's most noticeable on the dirt and sand. I would recommend adding a little more shape to them, and making them less grainy. The outlines you have on some of the other blocks are very sharp, and could do with some anti-aliasing, and could be a little less contrasted. I, personally, think that the water texture is a little too flat and angular for a liquid, and would be better suited as something like dirt. It looks all cracked up, like dirt that you would find in a dry riverbed.

Your wood planks are very good, I like them a lot!
It is pretty grainy, sharp, flat and contrasted, I have noticed, and that is the image I wanted to portray. However you are right, I should work on them a bit more, add some more shades and shapes.
I'm also glad you like the wood planks!

Yeah, I'm working on changing both of those, I'm not too happy about them, they could also look better.
