I think most likely the files were re zipped incorrectly. When you open the finished .zip file you should immediately see about 10 folders and numerous files. If you see a folder named Guruth-5.33a first then it is incorrect.
In my video around 6:50 you can see the process of selecting the files to be zipped.
Let me know if this helps, it is an easy mistake to make and one I have made many times in the past when not paying attention. I think it has the result of going to the default textures as you describe.
And yes, this texture pack has been something I have been tweaking since beta and put a great deal of time into. I am always making changes to it, but in it's current state I am pretty happy with it. I decided to release it since I have been planing to release my world save which can now be found here if anyone is interested
There are a couple of textures I still need to rework such as the redstone ore and a couple of the food crates (the eggs and potatoes don't look very good), but I will fix them in time and upload newer versions.
i looked and looked i cant find misa500 for 1.5.2 i don't know if this is only for 1.5.1 or what D:
Welp, the texture pack is execellent, but it is not that I am acknowledging you for. I tried, on and off, for years, to get a texture pack to work. Even with tutorials, I failed hardcore.
With the instructions given, I have finally broken the losing streak. You, sir, have made my day.
Hey, yep. I just started playing again since 1.7 was released, it might be a week or so before I have the first 1.7 update available. Misa may not have her pack updated for a while, and I need to find some alternate source files.
However, until then the 1.6.2 version works just fine. It is just missing the new textures is all. At a minimum I should have some stained glass that I previously used with mod packs available soon.
Due to the way minecraft now handles multiple resource packs, I was able to modify this resource pack so that it is no longer necessary to combine my add on files with Misa's texture pack.
So there is currently no need to use the old system which required a .cmd file, or manually following pages of file and folder reorganization.
Instead you now simply download both my add on files + Misa's pack and enable both at the same time through the resource manager.
There are no shader mods yet for 1.6.x that I am aware of. For 1.5.x there are many different options, I preferred Chocapic 13's shaders myself.
