But- unless I'm mistaken- the resolution of the new textures is still 16x? In that case, the loading time will be the same with the new textures, regardless of how simple they are. So your pack is not only aesthetically unpleasing, it also fails to do its stated purpose.

Mate, I am not going to be hard on you (well not try) but there are hundreds of these bucketfills out there... what makes yours stand out? You need a hook, whether you are making textures for a game, or pitching your company to investors. Your target audience (us) need a reason to download your pack over everyone else.

I would suggest the following:
-Remove adfly, add it back in when you get a bit of a following. It makes a good first impression in texture pack scene when people see that you are not in it for the cash.
-Put some detail into the textures, heck just place black dots on the dirt... it better than nothing.
-Find a gimmick If you not an artist, this will help a lot. For example, I just saw a texture pack turning Minecraft into cheese... it original and can potentially be something interesting. Blue cheese swords fighting macaroni skeletons?
