(As many of you can tell, I have not pushed an update for this recently. I've been trying to get everything to work right and I just hate how everything is coming out. I really haven't had time this summer, and I apologize for that. And, to make matters worse, I'm not a fan of default textures. Unofficially, this project is on hiatus. If I ever come back and update this, I will make sure all blocks are textured.
If anyone wants to take up this project, drop me a PM and I'll try to respond as soon as I can.
If anyone wants to submit textures for this, feel free to put them here or PM them to me and I'll put out an update that includes those. There won't be an update if there aren't textures that are submitted, though)
This is a continuation of FriendlyHeart’s “Style!Craft Hybrid”
StyleCraft Hybrid is an old idea from a German MCF member known as FriendlyHeart. He did not like how, when he got close to a block, there was 16 colors in a row, and it was very grainy. So he scaled everything up 16 times to a 256x resolution. The title picture above shows a zoomed-in look at a few of the blocks in the pack.

The easiest way to install it is below.
1. Download it
2. Decompress it from a .zip to a folder (OPTIONAL, but it can allow you to add or substitute textures)
3. Go to Library (on Mac's) or User Data/Application Data (on Windows)
4. Find the Application Support
5. Scroll down until you find the Minecraft
6. Down a bit, there is a resourcepacks folder
7. Drag the .zip or folder into the resourcepacks folder
8. Play! It should work
Version 9.0: pack continued by myself | new mojang.png (will be edited) | converted to 1.5 | a to-do list included in the pack | a new pack.txt | renamed terrain folder (now environment) | many new textures added
Version 9.1: daylight detector and side added | vertical dropper added | recolored Redstone Block | color issue?
Version 10: Ported to 1.6 | To-Do List updated | Many 1.6 blocks updated
Version 11: Ported to 1.7 | Can now use in just the .zip form | All podzol variants added | To-Do List.txt updated | Many of the new flowers added | Kept the rose flower as the poppy for now

Nice, now animate it. Kidding. Actually not a bad idea, a pack like this, animated, what if you also animated every block that MADE that block? Animation-ception?
Also, use these installation instructions I quickly made;
1. Open up minecraft
2. Log in
3. Wait until you get to the title screen
4. Go to Options
5. Hit Texture Packs
6. Click the "Open texture pack folder" button
7. Place the zipped file in the folder that popped up
Otherwise a great pack and I can't wait to download it, but a few more screenshots would be nice!
Download? More screenshots? Are you even allowed (given permission from friendlyheart) to continue it?
It's all there, minus more screenshots, because the computer I am currently using can't run 256x. And yes, I do have permission. I can link the picture of our PM's to show it if you want.

Ah, thank you. I wrote my own, as I accidentally hit post instead of preview, but I may integrate yours (as in re-word mine with some of yours). And yeah, I'll try to take more pictures once I get on my better computer for running 256x.
He HAS permissions !! He may change what he want't but he should keep credits for the initial pack.
(No need to post a picture for prove thought ?)
Second:
Jeah @18cwatford:
He REALLY should add animated textures.
Like better water (because I couldn't really fix the slow movement problem)
Custom/Random Mobs, Flowers, Grass, Stone, etc.
Because THIS is the best addition to minecraft ever.
Make huge amounts of same blocks do not look like grid style.
@Minecraft/Mojang:
I REALLY like the new Texturpack way. (Every Block one image file)
It would have making this pack alot easier at the start
Have fun, and luck, and hopefully
It gets a bigger, way bigger pack now
I'm not going to be away at all thought.
I'm just a bit busy, so if you like to talk/chat on skype do so.
Im should be online nearly every day.
First, to stop questions about it: He HAS permissions !! He may change what he want't but he should keep credits for the initial pack.

Hello! Nice of you to reply to this thread. I have a credits.txt file on the pack, but I don't think I included it in the pack (whoops, updating the file now). And yeah, I forgot to put the picture up on here, because I wasn't totally sure if I needed it (updating that now too)

In the pack I have now, I resized the water/fire/lava from the default pack and included them. I am planning on possibly making custom lava, water, and fire (although it will likely be overlaid like the rest of the pack). Agreed with the water, which is a large reason I just resized it, no matter how it looked.
RandoMobs are coming, but slowly because I want patterns that look good, as opposed to just thrown together.
A 128x and a 64x version are in the works.
Other textures for 256x are also being worked on
I'm attempting to make the art a little bit smoother, as it is 256x
Trying to make a sort of default font, but a smooth 256x as well
I have a ton of alternate textures from when I started continuing this pack a few days back. Planning on uploading them eventually, or even getting them onto a customizer (or minecraftcustomizer.net when it's made for 1.5)
Also, I'm working on a better mojang.png, because the current one won't fill up an entire normal-sized window when loading.
Any thoughts, comments, concerns, nitpicks, ideas, or critique on the pack so far from what I've done or what FriendlyHeart started?
I've always wanted to do this.
You did a great job! You did it way better than I would have.
It's a very clever idea. And thanks! (even though most of it is FriendlyHeart's)
--- Version 9.1 of StyleCraft is out! I've added the following three blocks:
Daylight Detector Side
Daylight Detector Top
Dropper Vertical
I've also edited the color of the Redstone Block to make it closer to the stock coloring.
However, I did notice that on my new textures for the pack, some of the colors are not exactly like the stock terrain, meaning they are a little less colored. Has anyone else noticed this?
And 100 downloads in a little under 2 days. I'm impressed.

I've noticed it in some textures, some a bit good, others bad.
Btw, gratz for 100 in under 2 days.

Ahh, summer break, the time of the year where I do nothing.
I've noticed it in some textures, some a bit good, others bad.
Btw, gratz for 100 in under 2 days.
I noticed it on all the anvil textures, redstone block, carrots maybe, command block, comparator (I believe), daylight detector, dropper front vertical, itemframe, and nether quartz ore. Then again, those are most of the things I did >.>
Talked to FriendlyHeart about how that didn't happen on his and any tips on how to fix it, but no response yet. Hopefully they'll be fixed soon.
Alright, I've been pretty hard at work with a 128x version that I hope to release in about a week, due to my schedule. It was started by FriendlyHeart as well. Again, some of the textures are muted at the moment, which is why I haven't put it up yet - I'm trying to find a fix.
It is an interesting idea, however.. these textures are mostly noticeable when close up to blocks. It puts the strain of a 256x texturepack while still looking 16x.

I believe that was the point when FriendlyHeart made it. When you said it you may have thought it was an accident / mistake that needs to be fixed, but it's meant to be that way.
Well, he replied me just 4 months ago. http://www.minecraft...0#entry19700187
He already told us how to make it ourselves. So if you want to continue it, you may need to redo the whole thing.
Btw, I have a high-end computer and it is laggy while using this texture pack. ( Just joking, I just need to add more rams to minecraft and it works fine for me )

Meant to look like 16x16 but put more strain? Huh.
